My understanding is he had to submit a list of 6 teams. Anaheim and Chicago were on it. But I don't know if there is a codicil or something where he can have final say—because it certainly seems that way from other things I'm hearing.

Apparently, he has a full NTC. So maybe the list was Vancouver's way of defining a playing field.

That said, this is why the Hawks are still in this and might actually have the inside track.

Could be. I think Kesler is the 'ideal' fit for the #2C, but he's not the only one. If he rejected a trade to Anaheim during the playoff push, why would he accept one now?

I heard different this AM, but the source is not one I know well. I actually heard the Hawks have a deal in place. Sounded to me like a precursor of some kind needed to happen. i have not gone out with it in the blog because I am not sure about the source. Just an FYI/FWIW.

It seems like Kaplan is acting . They sound stupid and over exaggerated . Like no matter what the caller or guest says they host says the opposite . Like they are trying to recreate Boars and Bumstein . I cant stand the Game 87.7 so far .

I can't stand Kap especially when he talks hockey. Guy has been watching hockey for 6 years and talks about it like he's a fn' expert. Also he always backs what Eddie O says. If Eddie said the Hawks should trade Toews for the Oilers 6th defensemen, Kap would agree that it's a good move. Pathetic.
