Only what I have read from the hockey News and Wiz and others. He's a 6'3 161 lb defenseman who plays with a nasty attitude, he skates very well for a big ... err make that tall kid, he has a big shot and can run a Powerplay.

Agree with pretty much all of this and think it's definitely time to address 2C. Like you say, other guys can slot down: Smith, Shaw, etc.

Even though the Hawks were a bit outplayed by LA, that's not the series I was disappointed with their play so much; more the first two.

If not for Crow and some timely goal scoring the Hawks don't make through either of the first two rounds.

I think picking up a center or two this offseason will make the Hawks better and with the Wonder Twins due for big pay hikes, probably going to need a farmhand or two to start stepping up.

If they get someone like Kesler or Spezza, it's hard to imagine how they keep Sharp, but stranger things have happened.

In my ideal world, they trade Sharp and maybe Leddy for pics/prospects and sign Stastny.

I'm with you on this. Here is another reason I like Stastny on this team, if (when) Q starts mixing up lines, Stastny will then get to play with Hossa.

Maybe. I do think the Hawks will do something a little more significant than they have typically done. It's a buyers market for centers though so if your Stan Bowman, solving this issue needs to happen now or not at all. I won't be disapointed if the Hawks don't bring in a Kesler or Spezza but if they don't bring in anybody(Nielsen, Plekanec, Legwand) etc, then I think Stan is really on the line for bullseye.

It's going to be a long day, got some extra strong coffee for it.
