What's the vibe? Hawks gonna pull off a deal or will this hoopla simply blow away??
Remember it's Stan Bowman here.

I wouldn't doubt he ends up in St Lois, but he does have Chicago connections too.
- Ogilthorpe2

Don't really think that will play a part. At 15-16 he could have gone off and played junior a but his dad made him stay home and play for the Jr Blues.

Why? For calling him a Morin?

Sign Regin? Nordy? UFA? Danault?
- KingB

I can live with that... Regin played his ass off....I would have no problems what so ever with them using hiM at 4c

I was rather enjoying the silence myself. 12 mil a bargain? Are the going to increase their production 95% to match their raise?
- Elbows15

Was thinking the same. Not about Philco's absence but about the percentage raise.

JJ thanks as always for keeping us in the loop on things.

If you do move Kruger...then does Regin suddenly become an option to come back?

Big day today fellas can't wait for the draft tonight...go get Kesler Stan.

Phil made a comment a few days ago that now that the season was over he wouldn't be on as much but would pop in now and again to keep an eye on things, presumably to make sure we were bahaving.

Yes, make it so.

Hoping at the end of the day the Hawks:

1) End up with Kesler or another legit 2C

2) Are somehow able to keep Teuvo; if not, meh...would rather they be able to keep McNeil and Hartman.

3) If TT goes and it's Kesler who comes in, Sharp is traded for either younger guys already on an NHL roster somewhere or close prospects/high picks.

I'd rather see Sharp go than Oduya at this point. Sharp could bring back a nice haul and I think if the Hawks get Kesler to play with Kane and Saad, most if not all of Sharp's goal production will have been addressed.

4) If it doesn't get addressed today in trades, pick up a player or two for bottom line depth in UFA.

Saw Kruger's name mentioned as possibly in talks for a Kesler deal. I like him a lot but could see Shaw at 3C and the Hawks getting a FA for 4th line or bring back Regin. Maybe Perrault can work with Shaw like he did Krugs to bring up the FO %.

Plus, as of now, even thought they may be a year or two away, the Hawks have at least 2 guys in the system who appear to have similar attributes to 16: Nordstrom and Danault.

Edit - Nordy may make the jump this year after short stints with the Hawks last year. Would be nice if he could bulk up a little.

Sharp will not be traded everyone stop with this. He has a NMC and the only teams he will have on his list will be teams that are contenders and none of which I can think of would have space for his contract let alone the players the hawks would want back in the trade. He's not going anywhere.

So you had din-din with Brendan Shanahan and he let it slip that Kadri and Dion were ours?

So they are bringing back Brookbank!

I kid, I actually like him as a 3rd pairing guy and would have no problem if he came back and they found a new address for Rozy. What a difference a year makes.

I think it took BB a year possibly to adjust to the Hawk system and Rozy who was already slow, lost another step or two.

Hopefully what you allude to above means what I think it does.
