It's statements like this that are the reason there are so many young coaches out there with self image problems. Very insensitive.

Is Charlton Heston their spokesperson - holding Trotz' neck in his "cold, dead hands"?

My profiles on

Matheson Iacopelli 6’ 1” 192 Muskegon
3rd year eligible wing is a scorer with hard wrist shot and quick release. Strong when carrying on the attack and is able to find the soft areas in the attack zone for the set-up pass. Well balanced skater with a set of gears. So far he isn't very interested in the defensive zone. Committed to Western Michigan University.

Beau Starrett LW 6’ 4” 197 South Shore
Intriguing prospect from a hockey family with great height and attractive potential. Has the size but will remain a longer term prospect until he gets better coordinated and more muscle on his long skinny frame. There is lots to like and wait for. He has put points on the board, and plays a tenacious forechecking role. Strong on the puck. He has decent hands and a nice hard shot. Is a very good skater and once he puts muscle on, he may be a player. He is a future shutdown centre with toughness.
Committed to Cornell University.

Luc Snuggerud 6’ 1” 180 D Eden Prairie Minnesota HS
Unbridled offenseman who is a tremendous puck carrier with PP QB qualities, dangle, and transition skills. The question may be is just a riverboat gambler, or somewhat lacking in the HQ to understand situations and the ice to utilize team attack or does he disregard it to go one man show. Long term project with need of more strength and less predictabilty in his attack skills. Committed to the University of Nebraska-Omaha.

Andreas Soderberg 6’ 4” 200 LD Skelleftea Sweden Jr.s
I confess i never saw him and he wasn’t part of any international competitions.

Dylan Sikura  5’ 11” 149 LhRW LC Aurora OJHL
A really smooth passer and set up man in the OJHL player with Aurora Tigers who is committed to Northeastern University. Has a good shot, great vision and a willingness to drive the net. Needs work on improving his skating stride. Comes from a very wealth family that has a rags to riches story. Committed to the Northeastern University.

Ivan Nalimov G 6’ 5” 211 Ska St. Petersburg
Quite honestly didn’t think I needed to add Ivan Nalimov to my draft profiles because I simply thought the NHL teams would stay away and not bother. A third year eligible with good feet, glove and solid positioning. Possessed NHL goaler mechanics and in the Subway Super Series put on some incredible performance.

Jack Ramsey RW 6’ 2.25” 182 Penticton BCHL
Big wing has size and uses it. At this juncture is more of a North-South trailer on the attack. A developing player who has a strong wall presence and due to his size and strength can win battles in front and in all battle areas. A hard hit hitter who still needs polish as a guy in control of the puck, there is lots to like with the unfinished product. Committed to the University of Minnesota.

Daze was a finesse player in a big body. He scored, I don't know why everyone hated him. He wasn't a bum. They kept expecting him to automatically be a physical guy when he never had been. That's like thinking someone is automatically good at basketball or volleyball just because they're tall.

Just looked up Wiz's mock and he had neither Iocapelli or Olofsson being drafted.

Cause for concern?

- vabeachbear

Do a search on the side...
Iocapelli wasn't in the my top 210 but was part of the 427 names in the data base...I just chose to sprinkle the large numbers of second & third year guys I knew teams were going to going after since the class was thin on even good projectables of the new crop.

So was Olofsson.

I just chose to leave them out of my 210 ...believe me I never saw a draft were so many teams took BIG MEN who do not even look decent but because they are big they got taken. Some teams fely more comfortable taking older guys, but in general there were no teams whose final boarss were loaded with what I consider winners and great sleepers, although I think based on wher ethey picked Nashville got the most value.
