Alright. I remember hearing it was supposed to be complete by 2015, but they hadn't even broke ground yet a few months ago. Anyways, looking forward to it, as I will have the Armada and Le Club du Hockey Ligue American de Laval near by

I live on the south shore, but it's not that far...I already attend at least 5-6 Armada games per season. It's about a 45-50 minutes car ride from my place

They shouldn't even be in Hamilton. The smart money would have been if the Leafs put their farm team in Hamilton. That baby Leafs team would sell out or at least come close to it every night (lower bowl guaranteed) . Now the Marlies play 2nd fiddle to the Leafs in Toronto. Unless I'm completely wrong about the Marlies attendance and they draw good crowds.

They started drawing better since they stopped charging $75 per ticket.

yeah, I don't think the Bulldogs attract a lot of people in Hamilton as well. To be honest, they did not have the greatest product on the ice the last few years so that doesn't help.

I have to say, I'm not entirely sure it's going to be a big success in Laval either.

Doesn't have to be one IMO, as the team will save on travel costs and not have to ship them from Hamilton and will be able to get them sooner. Which is what they really want anyways.

Yeah, I guess that's the main thing. Having your farm team close has a lot of positives.

Also as long as they are reasonable with the ticket prices, and not do what was done with the Marlies and assume that people are so hungry to watch hockey and tickets to the Leafs are so hard to get that people will pay anything to see the Marlies.

10 years ago it was a poop show. Now, it's cleaned way up. The last eyesore is that Salvation Army right across from the market, that's on it's way out I believe.

All this talk about trading Josh Gorges and signing a UFA defenseman got me thinking that maybe Bergevin should go after a guy like Roman Josi in Nashville. He plays alot of minutes in Nashville and could possibly be an ideal defense partner for PK.

I don't think Nashville is really interested in trading Josi but maybe with all the focus in Nashville on upgrading the offense they could go for swapping Josi for Gorges and a guy like Lars Eller?

Well, they do need a bonafide #1 center to feed the puck to Neal.

Perhaps if it was Josi plus a mid round pick for Plekanec and Gorges. He's another lefty though. We need a righty.
