You need to start accepting that Gionta will be back.

not convinced about Budaj. not with Price's last 3 seasons ending in injury.

Yeah, that's not a good sign at all.

"Many might not realize that Gudbranson grew up idolizing Montreal. His family are Canadiens fans. He speaks fluent French. Not that any of this matters, but it certainly doesn’t hurt either."

He was offered, and he declined.

Interesting. I always maintained the habs should sign markov and name him the next captain...you think he'd accept this time around?

Let's put it this way... there are much better deals out there for Gionta than the one he'd get from Montreal. So if he does stay, it's not going to kill the Habs.

As for a top 6 fwd, I think they're working very hard on that.

EE, you really think MB wants to trade up at the draft?
Me think he should trade down to get 2 2nd round picks for his late first. What's your take?

- fidopro

it's very hard to trade up from their spot without a second round pick. i agree that if anything he should be trading down.

And that's nothing against him...it's against him on this particular roster.

i don't think any of us have anything against Gionta, just that it's time to get a bit bigger up front.
