That'd be sweet.

Ekblad @ 2 (to replace Myers), Nick Ritchie or Willy Nylander @ 6.

- SuperCat

Ritchie looks like a huge bust.

There's plenty of interest in Myers but floor issues galore. What would #Sabres get back?

Ek also reporting the rumor.

Grain of salt, etc etc

6 and Sbisa
- grand-magus

Having watched Sbisa for awhile out here.... He's not worth it. He has a few good games, but that's with a great team in front of him. The only benefit he has is that he hits like a freight train when he's on. Catches him out of the play far too often though.

EDIT: I know Bonino was the replacement for Kesler, but I would rather have him.

No worries, a wgr caller just said Myers would be a good forward.

I gotta ask, because this Gagne crap is just the turd at the end of a stick.

Why would we want Gagne. What purpose does he serve here. Sure, we can GIVE them our 2nd overall and risk losing the guy we actually want with Sam (frank)ing Gagne, or they can keep that turd and give us a pair of 2nds.

- TheSabresTaco

I'm not a fan of Gagner, but he is probably the only probably player that EDM would package with the #3 to move up, unless we throw in a big name and get more in return.

I don't know about that... I've heard TM say Ritchie could turn out to be the best in this class.

6'3, 235lbs, hits anything that moves, and sores goals? Sounds like Corey Perry.

“There are some guys that aren’t being talked about that are potentially part of that [group of high-end talent],” Murray said. “It’s a copycat League, so L.A. wins the Cup again and the terminology that they’re ‘heavy’ and you’ve got guys like [Nick] Ritchie and [Jake] Virtanen that are good players that are ‘heavy’ and teams are looking for ‘heavy.’”

Myers for anything above the 4th overall pick is a bad trade. Myers is worth more then that. Why trade for a unproven prospect that hasn't played a day in the NHL for a guy that is highly touted around the NHL. Definitely a top 4 D-man. Possibly top line guy.

But Kassian isn't 6'3", 235lbs...

When Ritchie is on, he dominates.

When he's off, he can still play a checking line role.

An 18 year old kid who's 235 lbs isn't ripped.

He's fat.

Kassian dominated in the OHL... And when he was on he was very hard to get off the puck.

If they are moving JVR I don't think they are targeting Ekblad then...I don't like that, unless Ekblad is their pick

Saw Kassian listed at 214lbs, but mind you this is at age 23.

http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zack_Kassian

Nick Ritchie is only 18yrs old and is pushing 230lbs. And he could still be growing!

This dude is a heavyweight!

I'd love to see him parked in the slot & banging in the corners!!
