TM confirmed today, that next yr's looters will only drop 1 spot (like this yr).

As a compramise to the backlash, that part of the new ruling won't change until 2016.

They are going to be 34. There isn't much bounce back left in them. NHL scorers hit their prime in their mid 20's and the fall off happens after 30. I don't see them ever hitting anything above 65pts ever again if that high.

He is, the gap is bigger than what people realize. Ekblad and Reinhart were #1-2 for most of the year for a reason. I posted this earlier in the week based on a site that had a collection of mocks over the course of the year.

50 of 51 mocks had Ekblad 1 or 2
39 of 51 mocks had Reinhart 1 or 2
12 of 51 mocks had Bennett 1 or 2
2 of 51 mocks had Draisaitl at 2

That was one season, and that whole organization was f&#ked last year.

They will bounce back. They're too talented.

But, like I said, I'm not a fan, and I'm not sticking up for them and really couldn't care less what happens to that team or to them.

If they finish their careers there, they still had good careers, with some - albeit limited - team success.

In your opinion he is.

Also, the mocks have changed from the end of the year when the Sabres had Reinhart mocked to them at 1, to Ekblad going to FLA because they ended up with the pick. Couple that with the fact that Bennett has been ranked ahead of Reinhart by multiple outlets and scouts tells me that Reinhart and Ekblad aren't a consensus #1 or 2.

Sure they might end up being better, but not one scout, GM or outlet has reported or said that there is a clear cut 1 and 2. It's been based on teams position.

You and I both know that if EDM were picking 2 people would be assuming Draisaitl would go 2

Murray did say something today about making some "complicated moves".

It also shows you what value Myers has if the Wings would rather get him than Yandle (according to Dreger)
