Take Bennett we need scoring, mistake if it's Ekblad
- SABRES 89

Bennett isn't the BPA at 2. If Reinhart is taken at 1, you take the BPA. Now isn't the time to draft on need or hope. Draisaitl and Bennett are boom or bust. Can't take the chance on bust.

Guess we will learn what Tim Murray's board looked like . He said he will take BPA . Maybe he does not have Ekbald at 2

Vancouver IMO will be drafting 1st overall and will take Reinhart. So he'll be off the board.

I don't need Sam Gagner either.

He's on Par w/ Drew Stafford, IMO. A bad team's garbage.

What have the Sedin's won that makes them so valuable ? They are soft . That is why Vancouver brought in Kassian in . To eventually play with and protect them . Connecting the two of them in any trade lowers their value as you drastically changing your team to accommodate them . I think you will be surprised at their real value . I don't think these two would rather live somewhere they like rather than doing what it takes to win a cup.

Sure, they're soft. And if Zach Kassian was the supposed tonic for their wussification, then that very much contributed to Gillis' firing.

They're both also point-producing machines.

I happen to share your opinion of their soft play, but there will be a market for them.

I gotta ask, because this Gagne crap is just the turd at the end of a stick.

Why would we want Gagne. What purpose does he serve here. Sure, we can GIVE them our 2nd overall and risk losing the guy we actually want with Sam (frank)ing Gagne, or they can keep that turd and give us a pair of 2nds.

nothing says any of them pan out. IMO you know what you're getting with Reinhart and Ekblad. Bennett and Draisaitl not so much.

It's never a mistake to take the best player available. It's a mistake when you take someone who's not as talented based on need.

They will also be 34 at the start of next season and their point totals are only going to continue to drop. Hernrik only got 50 points in 71 games last season and Daniel only 47 points in 73 games. Hardly point producing machines last year and they are going to continue to drop.
