I'd say the only trade that looks like we really lost at this time was the Sekera trade... he was GREAT for Carolina this year.. McBain sucked but the prospect looks to be good years down the road.

They actually did that as a favor to him. I think he could have been productive here as well, but they didn't feel that he should be in the top 6. Really, he's got skill, but he needs to be with other skilled players and they weren't willing to give him that here.

I think that Pysyk and Ruhwedel are shoe-ins...

Risto, McCabe, and Zads are question marks if they'll be up... I think that order is the liklihood that they are in Buffalo too.

I get the feeling Zads is going back to Jr. There's a few things he could use a bit more development on at that level before he actually makes the jump. And since he's not a candidate to go to Rochester, London is where he will reside this year.

Pysyk will probably be here. Ruhwedel can go back to Rochester without waivers I believe, so I have a feeling that's where he'll start the season with Risto.

I was about to say that's a realistic lineup, but you bring up a good point Max. Reinhart likely won't be here, but 2-3 free agents will be.

Zadorov isn't ready yet. And they've already said they're not going to rush guys into the lineup. They will not sacrifice their development. You'd be more likely to see them sign some journeyman 7th defenseman before you'd see them play Zadorov this year.

But, that is just my opinion and I could be completely wrong.

He can't pull that. We own his rights now, so he can't sign anywhere else unless it's an offer sheet. When that happened before, it's because he was an undrafted college FA and had a few different offers to choose from. If he were to sign elsewhere, we would get some sort of compensation for him.
