correct me if Iamwrong, but haven't his shootout numbers been pretty pedestrian the past few seasons? - jak521
Yeah. I would much rather invest in Mason raymond. Might be same money or less and can do same things. And pull the spin-a-roma out for the Flyers in shootouts. |

They haven't been as strong, but I think he would have the top percentage on the team, up there with Read. |

I know them enough to know they're terrible, will remain terrible, have an amazingly horrible history of developing high picks outside of Iverson, and that, as much as I hate soccer, I find The Union to be far most interesting. It's about time for them to go find an $8M guy to sit out a season, draft a bust, and just hope for next year. - jmatchett383

I've been to a few games (2 last year), whenever I can get free tickets. It's cold, it's crowded, the seats are hard and have no leg room, the food's overpriced, the tickets are WAY overpriced, and parking is both expensive and a traffic nightmare both in and out.
I'll have my friends over, drink with them in my nice warm house, sit in a nice comfy chair with lots of leg room, let them drive home with relative ease after the game, all for about $10 including food and drink.
I understand the atmosphere and all, but it's such a pain in the ass and just not enjoyable in general. - jmatchett383
Football is TAILOR MADE for television. I never have any desire to actually go to a football game. |

Agreed
I'd much rather watch the Eagles on my 50" hi def TV, drinking fine scotch or a good microbrew. |

Did not know about the bonus!
This keeps my hopes alive for a trade after 7/1.
Your football team could be the Idaho Giant Potatos after the move.

They could at least put a deal in place and agree to wait until the dollars are paid to pull the trigger. |

That's cool. Swap him on July 2nd for a 2015 pick and I'm happy!

swap him and not have to take back a bad contract or throw in a Philly draft pick and call it a very good day |

Football is only tailor made for TV because they can cram like 86 commercials between each stoppage... not because it's any more entertaining on TV than in person. If you're at home, you basically spend 3/4 of the actual game broadcast listening to some analyst huffing over three angles of each replay... maybe 10 minutes is actual gameplay. The rest is commercial after commercial after commercial.

$2m of his $6m salary for 14-15 is due to be paid in a signing bonus. And now we know it's due to be paid on July, 1st.
As of July 2nd, Vinny will only be owed $14.5 million over four seasons, or $3.625m in salary per season. |

When you watch football at home, you can play video games at halftime. That's huge. |

Nonsense. When you are there you only get ten minutes of actual game play. The rest of the time you are freezing your ass off with a bunch of drunks you cant stand. It is way more entertaining on TV. Not even close.

He had one move... skate down the right side, stutter step in the slot, deke backhand or forehand... once goalies learned not to go down on the stutter, the magic was gone. |
