I was waiting for you
Now, all kidding aside...that temp difference is absolutely wild. I couldn't handle that |

I dunno about you people but my dream is them trading down into the 20s, thus acquiring a 2nd rounder, and taking Kempe with that lower 1st - Giroux_Is_God
I'm fine with that; can't be scared to move down |

Buff is only 5.2 for 2 more years. I can handle that till the others come up - Deasr1
The only way I'd be agreeable to Byfuglien, is if the Flyers could move Mark Striet. Because then the Flyers would be replacing one offensive defenseman with a better one.

I have no problem with that. Contracts are going to get cheaper and cheaper as the cap goes up. In 2-3 seasons, 7M a year isn't going to be a big deal. Same way with the MacDonald deal. People are like oh my gosh, 5M a year! It's nothing. - MJL
With the growing struggles of the average Joe, it only makes sense for them to get paid more does it not? |

Byfuglien > Phaneuf, all things considered. - Tomahawk
No way in hell. Not even close. Byfuglien is weak defensively, Phaneuf is not. Phaneuf is a true NHL defenseman. Bufuglien is a forward playing defense.

We had it hit -56F this winter with the wind chill. That just gets disturbing, and why I have printed/filled out Australia immigration papers. - flyer_nutter

so you'd rather take all that extra revenue the players generate and just move it into the owners' pockets?
you act like players' salaries take away from the "average joes" piece of the pie |

It's not greedy to make what you earn.

Personally I don't think a hockey player earns 5 million a year compared to say a soldier, cop or firefighter.
Alright. |

A little over a year ago, I was defending Dion Phaneuf to a former co-worker who happens to be a Toronto fan. I was simply saying that he is a good player and I wold happily take him. Not my number one choice looking around the league but he fits the Flyers needs. This Maple Leaf went on to tell me how he watches the Leafs every night and made the argument that Cody Franson is better (Trust me, 8 out of 10 Leafs fans will say the same). After many arguments, he blocked me on facebook and the only time I hear from him, he unblocks me after two Leafs victoris after the Flyers long enough to tell me and I quote "The Flyers are a joke, eh?" and places me back on to the block list, so I can't respond. |

Exactly; if you don't want to move up -- and from what I read and just looking at general NHL history, there's little reason to do so -- then moving back and getting more assets is a smart move.
With the Flyers farm system the way it is at forward, another asset or two in the early rounds could prove useful |

Offer for Panthers pick goes ‘above and beyond’
Florida Panthers GM Dale Tallon said that he’s had one offer for the first overall pick that goes “above and beyond” what he deems fair, but is going to sleep on it to make sure he wants to make a deal.
