Where the cap room for Kane coming from?
- nonpoint22

If they move VL, we have the cap. Plus 10% overage for summer.

He's a late 1st to early 2nd, not a mid 1st.

I like Sanheim..........If they wanted a decent D then it's gonna happen within the top 2 rounds, large drop off after that

- ob18

In the end, I'm going to have to be ok with whoever they take, but if they end up with one of the guys with a reputation for being a cementhead, then i'm going to have to bite my tongue for a couple years and just hope for the best.

True, but he tries to do it all himself & forgets he has team mates, hates to back check, & just stands in the D zone rather than try to pressure the other team.

If he fell to #48 fine, but I refuse to trade up for him in any round.

- ob18

He very well could be Zherdev 2.0 but some of the interviews I read recently seems like he really wants to prove people wrong for doubting him. To be fair, said in the cockiest way possible. But playing with that chip on your should can be a powerful motivator to break bad habits.

As much as I feel Evander Kane is exactly the forward that would fit into the flyers top line and I want him in orange and black as much as anyone it seems like a lot to accomplish to get him here, finding a deal for VL and EvK by the draft. I honestly feel he isnt the flyers top target on his own team ( Big Buff)

From what I've been told is he didn't impress scouts much & didn't help his cause at the combine when being interviewed by teams.

Watched him a decent amount, I'd pass but others would jump all over him.

I hope to do the same, I will be disappointed if they take DeAngelo or Ho-Sang

Kane is very talented and still pretty young. But he's also played 5 NHL seasons, and he's been very inconsistent. The ability is there, but I think there are question marks. And right now, I don't feel he's worth either what the cost would be to obtain him, or what his contract is right now. He may be well worth it in the future, but that's a gamble.

I dunno about you people but my dream is them trading down into the 20s, thus acquiring a 2nd rounder, and taking Kempe with that lower 1st

I know I'm asking for trouble again.. but I'd see your DeAngelo and Ho-Sang, and raise you one McKeown.

I can't argue with anything you wrote here. However, it matters on what it will take to acquire him and I would really like to see him on a team that has a chance to win...No matter you feel of the chances of the flyers right now it surely better then he has ever really had in ATL/WPG

Kane to me is exactly what we're missing but you pretty much nailed the rest. I have no idea what it would take to get him from a Flyers standpoint, if at all.

Yeah, but I think Columbus and Winnipeg are in two totally different spots as a franchise, but yes that surprised me as well

Meh, There are worse things than guys who hate to lose. At this point I'd like to see a scoring winger, but whomever they think is best is fine with me.

And the world...

Who the (frank) wants to live in Winnipeg? It's like 2 kelvin there in temp and moose probably roam the streets like cows in India.

On second thought, having moose roam the streets kinda sounds hilariously awesome

He would be part of a deal for Buff. I hope not, Buff is a good player, but I am not so sure he is the #1 we need. Him and Coburn would be interesting though.
