Read had high value around the league. Hextall is bringing he philosophy of bigger players. He just acquired 2 guys in umberger and Bellemare who are two way guys

It would all depend on who is available at 9. After the top 6 this draft turned into role players with question marks. I personally would rather keep schenn and read. Schenn seems pretty loyal and is on the up wing IMO and read is as advertised. Kane is very talented but seems pretty Hollywood.

Honestly... I liked the other guys deal much better (Coots, Ghost, 2 1sts).

I hate the idea of giving up 3 known players and while I'd hate to give up Coots - the other 3 (ghost and the picks) may never make the NHL.

I'd pass on 17, b schenn, read. My 2 cents.
