It might, but then you basically need to hold onto Vinny as your 2C (assuming you let Couturier to develop more at the 3C spot). I think it's a bit too much, honestly.

TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger reported Thursday that Lecavalier's agent Kent Hughes has permission to speak to other teams regarding a trade for his client. Dreger adds that making a deal will be tough for the Flyers in the days leading up to July 1, as Lecavalier is owed a $2 million bonus on that date.

No disrespect, but not sure what that buys this team. You give up one existing top 6 guy for the hopes a young guy becomes top 6. B. Schenn is there and is cap friendly for awhile...so feels like we dont gain anything and we give up a pick and d-man to stay flat....andthat Dman doesnt represnt a terrible caphit/term. I guess if Ekblad is sitting there maybe but even then I am hesitent.

Kane's a nice addition piece, but the idea of trading both Schenns for him seems like an overpayment for a guy that is probably going to just get on Berube's nerves and get traded for another Umberger. Let's face it, dude is Drama. I'd prefer to stay clear of him.

Got it. Was just thinking. What if you get the number 3 and then another pick like a 3rd rounder. You can still move Vinny for cap space as well. but if this is a future build then maybe you see more potential in a player like Bennett then Schenn. Just thinking out loud.

Speaking of which, I hope most people realize that Hartnell will become a villain about 30 seconds into his first shift. Don't think people on here realized how much 29 teams hate playing against him.
