I think we're going to see some crazy numbers for Dmen again this year.
- jstross

No question about it. The Oilers had to pay a little more in salary to get Nikitin for only two years. They have a lot of defense prospects that they have high hopes for, and I guess they didn't want that long of a term.

Ken Daneyko was on NHL Live tonight, and he and Steve Mears were discussing the Nikitin signing and you could tell.. really just tell, that Dano was wishing he were playing today. I mean he could just smell the overpayment that would've been his.

I wonder how much money he made in his career?

Edit:
I found this, not sure how accurate it is. But it says he made about 14M or so in his career.

Any mention of VH, standard or reverse, reminds me of that Kane on Leighton goal...
- Tomahawk

he got caught in no man's land, surprised by the shot. he should never have used that, from that angle and spot with kane attacking the net in a forward direction. all he needed to do was stay on his feet in that situation, or at worst, butterfly.

If there was ever a year where there was little in the way of consensus for picks, this is probably it.

I picked up my copy of the Black Book today, and I have a feeling I'll be referring back to it for S&G's for the next 15 years.

Its good stuff though, I'll probably continue to pick up a copy as long as they continue to print it.
