We had a foursome once and on the par 5 the green was below a hill. We were teeing off on the next tees , my friend picked up the ball and put it in the hole . About a minute late all we could hear is a bunch of people cheering and screming |

That's awesome! I have been golfing since I was 14 years old (50 years) and I have never got a hole in one. Got a few eagles and many birds over the years. My Dad is 92 and he has got 2 hole in one's in the past 5 years , so you never know if and when it will happen - HawkfaninBC
I missed one by three inches and won a Ping putter on the shot . Closest to the hole . 180 yards approx |

Thanks, it was definitely quite the unexpected and enjoyable experience. Of course I was inevitably harassed by the others in my group (some accusing me of having sacrificed a chicken on the previous hole), all the way back to the Clubhouse ha ha. I did end up buying copious suds for everyone at least.
It sounds like you are quite the avid golfer (as is your Dad). Did you also play hockey? if so, I'm curious how the transition went (for me, the final analysis was definitely 'stick to hockey'
Edit: one thing I did notice right off the bat in terms of my first forays into the sport is, that I was actually quite good at putting for some reason. I guess this is perhaps the closest aspect which can be compared to hockey (i.e. passing the puck/ball to someone -good hand/eye coordination). Any thoughts? |

On the Keslord situation though, do you really think that Benning will trade him to Anaheim and have the real possibility of him burning the Canucks for the next few years in the same division. At least with Chicago , the only real possibility of that happening would be the playoffs. I can look at it impartially even though I am a Hawk fan and I think the Canucks take the best deal regardless of where it is. |

So what are your thoughts on a package which included TT and Leddy. |

I think he will trade him to the best offer regardless of location. It's not about what Kesler will do it is about our product we put on the ice.We need to dress our best team and not worry about other teams. |

So a couple of reports on Sportsnet reporting Kesler has cut his trade list down to two teams, no longer the rumored 6-12 teams from last week.
Reportedly, he will only go to the Ducks or Blackhawks. Kind of tying Bennings hands |

I've played a lot of hockey but golf is pretty much black magic to me (I can swing ok and the occasional time I do get contact with the ball, she goes and goes....now, which way she goes is another matter altogether
Hence, it was that much more inane and funny that I got a hole in one while playing with some co-workers who are all excellent players. They were not pleased .....and were even less pleased that I won some money out of it (for disclosure purposes, it was a fairly short par 3 (I think it was slightly more than 150 yards) - Zogg

As Friedman says if you don't like the trade don't trade him.
I remember Gillis said he use to sit back and laugh at the reports that came from the media and twitter. he said most reports, never were even discussed |

I spent my younger years in Ontario and Alberta so I played organized hockey starting at 5 years old until I moved to Vancouver when I was 14. I tried out for a Richmond Rep team that had Barry Beck on it but I didn't make it so from then on it was recreational and for fun hockey. I think it is quite comparable to golf in coordination and I agree with you that having played hockey can definitely benefit one's golf game. Most of the guys I golf with did play hockey in their youth and they are for the most part , pretty decent golfers |

What is the worst that can happen if he doesn't get traded.....we get to keep one of the best 2 way forwards in the game today until he expands his list |

Exactly. Like I said before a line of Kesler Kassian and Ehlers could be entertaining. |

I have seen one 12 year old kid. Little bastard I have been playing for a long time and never have me or any of my usual crew have had one. |

I think if the Canucks can get TT and Leddy and maybe a draft pick from the Hawks I would do it. TT has the good possibility of becoming at least a number 2 centre and Leddy is only 23 and seems to be getting better each year. I watch all of the Hawk games and Leddy is amazing at times with his skating ability , but seems to make mental errors from time to time , but really , what D-man doesn't. I think it would be a good deal for both teams. |

If Virtanen was drafted could break the line up next year, he would look awesome with Kesler and Kassian. Talk about a skilled, tough line to play against!! |

I would do that. But if Kes is trying to limit the return by only wanting two teams even though he is asking to be traded, keep him. And if he's a pain, bench him. |
