Sorry Ducks have more to offer, and any team that gets Kesler will be able to sign Kane away from the Hawks. - A_SteamingLombardi
What/who does Anaheim have to offer? The players I'm hearing available on Anaheim, Etem & DSP, are not better than Leddy. TT has a different skill set to those two, but is most likely the more skilled player. Don't think the #10 pick in this weak draft is anything that puts them over the top.
IMO, I believe the Hawks have more to offer. |

Hawks now getting the 1st overall for Sharpe. |

Lebrun just posted some stuff about a Kesler trade...
The one thing Kesler can’t dictate, however, is forcing the Vancouver Canucks to trade him. Unless and until either Anaheim or Chicago presents a package that the Canucks believe is worthy, they won’t move him, one source said. These things can change with one single conversation, but as of Tuesday afternoon, no trade for Kesler was imminent.

I sort of got that impression too that Canucks have not received a decent offer. Trevor said on Friday and again yesterday Jim Likes Kesler and wants to try to keep him. That tells me posturing for a better deal . |

I Wonder if Benning will allow Horvat to compete in the World Juniors..........
(assuming he makes the team)
So many players getting hurt in international competitions these days.

No use for Leddy, we have 4 LHD and #10 is much higher than the Hawks pick, but that's just my opinion, which seems to carry more weight in a Canuck thread than yours. |

Totally understand. Just saying this year, the #10 doesn't have value like it should. Just think the package the Hawks could offer is better in spite of having the #27 pick. Interesting to see what happens either way. |

With word of Gaborik being close to signing in LA, the Hawks need Kesler more otherwise they won't be able to compete with the Kings. Plus, if he goes to the Ducks then the Ducks could give the Hawks a good run for their money. But the Ducks also need Kesler to stay competitive with LA and Chicago. This should be an all out bidding war! |

No use for Leddy? How wrong you are
Leddy goes to Florida in a package for the 1st overall and we can keep Tanev |

You could make an offer for Speeza. |

Leddy is good, but I think the Canucks would rather get some impacts forwards. |

I bet Tanev is looking in the 4.5 range as an opener. Not worth it yet . |

As long as he not getting regular minutes in the NHL. Thats the only reason GM's say no. If Horvat is still in junior, this is a big boost to his development so its crazy to say no.

Too many people trying to tell him he's full of sh!t probably. I always get a good chuckle when he pretends he has sources.
I hope Kesler goes to Anaheim. I'm not sold on TT at all. - hankthetank
I 100 percent agree , they have a better pick too |

Any hold out for that kind of money might get his ass traded.(Arb most likely then).

Carol is right, Kesler is a big domino. He's the best player that is "available" plus his cap hit is VERY cap-friendly. I think Benning and Linden are wise to hold out and get others to up their offer. They aren't gonna Gillis this one. |

Wasn't he playing top line minutes last year? I doubt he wants a bridge deal of three years three mil. |

Agree there forsure
If that's what Tanev wants keep Leddy then.
Shinkaruk is a non starter for me. He looks like a special player. He basically made the team last year with a busted hip. I don't think id be trading him unless you are very very certain reinhart will be a top line center. It would pretty sweet to see a Shinkaruk Reinhart Kassian line in the future |

We were all raving about Bennings uncanny scouting abilities, and looks like he wants to go balls to the wall after Sammy R , so he must feel he is a number 1 |

I havent noticed/heard anything to suggest that. Plus, this team has been good for his career so far.

Agreed. That would get him traded pronto. He should be signed in the 3m range. |
