Yeah, too deep into draft prep to change course at the last minute... I suspect we'll see some adjustments to the approach (and maybe the staff) in 2015.

I like our staff. Couts, Laughton, and Morin seem like fantastic picks.

I mean a boats a boat, but the mystery box could be anything. It could even be a boat. You know how much we've wanted a boat.

I'm glad the ducks GM got recognized. Just look at their cap sheet. There's nothing not to like on there

Oddly enough the guy who believes Giroux_is_god did not believe Giroux would walk away with any hardware tonight. Now I just believe God is dead and we're all alone!

Morin will surprise you then. If you get the chance to watch a Flyers preseason game with him in it, you should.

i'll definitely have to give him more of a look. honestly, i think i was just pretty relieved you guys took him instead of some other guys that were out there, so thats probably a little unfair to him a tad.

now, that i dont see. i still think maatta is gonna have a damn good career, at ultimately a more difficult to fill position.

but nonetheless, i really like laughton. i think the initial john madden comparisons grossly undershoot his offensive potential

I was praying for Calgary to take Maatta when we didn't, but they had to go after Jankowski.

i'm not nearly as prospect savvy as some of the guys on here. but i was worried they would snag pullock.

I wonder who Hexy really likes to trade up to get? Gotta believe either Ritchie or Fleury would be possible targets

I think several GMs would like to move down. He may view it as an opportunity to move up without having to give up many assets. Or he could just be bullpoopting

Agree, I think at most he may move up to #8. There must be a prospect Hexy really likes and if he has to give up a lower draft pick or two to make sure he gets him, so be it.

Ritchie is just a prototypical power forward, I'm pretty impressed what I have seen about Fleury and his two-way skill.

He was a popular choice by Flyers fans before the draft. I was never a big supporter of his, but you can never tell picking 18 year olds. He is almost a year older than Morin.

Hexy just thinks there is another tier of player in the top 10. He said he is comfortable moving down also if the right deal comes along.

yeah its hard.

i was enamored with joe morrow, and look at him. scuttling from team to team, and having not broken in yet.

definitely hard to tell, especially at defense. i just thought that morin reminded me a lot of a cross between coburn and luke schenn. and if he reaches that, not a bust of a pick by any means. but i just thought the flyers needed a different type of defender with that pick.

but who knows. no one can definitively, without a doubt tell you the kid isnt going to be ultimately even better than coburn.
