Add 2 inches and 20 pounds and you have Tinordi. He doesnt have the offensive potential but Gudbranson has not shown he can QB a powerplay yet.
- Fredobbface

Wouldn't it be nice to have 2 big guys?

kind of what i'm thinking. don't we have our own Gudbranson that we've been grooming for 4 (frank)ing years? if this organization is going to surrender assets in a trade, doing so for a defencemen is absolutely ludicrous.
- DoubleDown

I'd keep Tinordi. Maybe traded Bealieu (who has a questionable attitude), Pateryn is NHL ready and could interest some GMs plus a Gorges or Emelin.

Yep. He's a solid 6 goal scorer for a full season. Who needs that?

I think we all would but I think the point is that it would be reeeeeaaaaaaaally nice to see a forward coming back
- dt99999

But could we get a top 6 forward for the same cost?
Say Gorges and 1st.

Yup, Beaulieu and Pateryn would be assets that could be given. Maybe a pick.

Would sure be nice to have 2 mobile 6'5 guys back there. Add a PK and a Emelin that can hit hard.

how the (frank) should I know?

but id doesn't have to be the same price you might have to give up a bit more. If you've already used up your assets to get yet another d-man then you're up poop creek without a paddle when it comes to acquiring a forward and that's what they need.

they're pretty slim up from and Hamilton isn't sending up any Carter Ashton type prospects any time soon.

or the assists.
or the balance in the lineup.
just call up Patrick Holland or Christian Thomas. that'll (frank)ing save us.

Or sign/trade for another option. It's not Vanek or nothing.

i wouldn't trade Beaulieu. i think he's the top prospect in the organization and could turn into a really solid 2-way guy who can drive possession. he's got the skillset that teams are looking for in dmen today.

at any reasonable price.

habs don't have the depth to pass up a 40-goal score who can actually score 40.

All I meant was that the cost would hopefully be low.
We SHOULD have some forward help in 2-3 years and D takes longer to develop.

I just think he's going to be good. Not sure how good, and part of that may depend on him and the attitude that you mentioned. But I'd like him to stay.

agree. but we don't have a ton to trade with. not a lot of prospects. and UFA is always hard for Montreal. as long as Montreal does SOMETHING to improve the top-6. if they go into the season with Gallagher and Gionta as op 6 wingers, that's an astounding fail on Marc Bergevin's part.
