I think the return could be huge because of his performance and contract. Problem is, it might be prospects or picks, which hurt the team in the short term.

I am fine with Max and knowing that although he is an important piece of the puzzle, he is not a franchise player that you would build around.

But the habs are not a perennial contender, not with those centers and not with that D. They are getting there but just not quite yet. It was a great run that was cut short. The series against Tampa would have been a lot different if Bishop wasn't injured and they had the Bruins number in the 2nd round. The Rangers played the perfect system against them. Game 6 was a clinic in team defense.
