Right handed D.

Also.. IF the Habs get rid of Gorges... who plays 25+ mins with PK ?

- WaterBoy

Anybody with a pulse that's willing to block shots and play smart defensive hockey.

Oh yeah, those guys are a dime a dozen. Just close the eyes and point. Like pin the tail on a 23.

In this scenario, we'd lose Gorges and Weaver...they're hardly irreplaceable loses. Losing them is NOT the equivalent of losing a guy capable of playing 25 minutes along side Subban...

EDIT: I do see where this is what you would've inferred...but that's not where I was going with that... I was trying to convey that Gorges/Weaver can be replaced by anyone willing to block shots/play smart defensive hockey...

I don't mind losing Gorges(not lost as of now) and Weaver.

Still doesn't fill the need to have a 2nd D to play top minutes with PK.

That's where I'm going with that as well...you replace Gorges/Weaver with a similar player...and that player is not the guy to be paired with PK.

Neither is Emelin...So either Markov plays with PK and we need a #3 D to play with Emelin or we need a #2 to play with PK.

Our 5th should be Gorges/Weaver/replacement and the 6th one of the kids from Hamilton.

I'd play Emelin (on his good side) with PK. I know he had a bad season, but I think he'll bounce back.
They would have to find a top 4 right handed dman to play with Markov. I like Bieksa.
Then play the kids on the 3rd pairing.

I think you are gambling a lot with Subban-Emelin... Both sometimes take themselves out of the play, would remain to be seen if they would play more responsibly once they're partner is out of position.

It's not impossible, but at first glance it's not a mix I'd gravitate towards...
