He can make money anywhere, by restructuring the contract he can let Miami sign someone to help replace the production they lost/will lose as wade and allen age.

If he resigns it will be for a 5 yr max contract that will pay him on avg more than the 20.6.

Toronto is trying to distance themselves from phaneuf and his contract. Somebody should save them just like how Philly did with Luke schenn for jvr deal

They have plenty of space to sign ROR, Stastny, and trade for Phaneuf if they wanted to. If they feel they are a Phaneuf away from really challenging for the cup, they have the space to do it over the next few years.


They are far from having cap issues. Hell in 2 years they have 50 mil in space.
