"Settle in?" Hartnell's been there since 2007-08; WTF does that even mean? He is the longest serving forward on the damn roster, and he and Kimmo are only behind Coburn by months for the longest serving players in the whole damn organization!

Not even sold it's two steps back. I would have liked to get more cap relief in the short term, but it is an odd one.

Exactly my problem with the deal.

I can be sold on a full salary dump. Or dumping Hartnell for guys that are in the minors that don't count against the cap.

Instead, we got a guy the Jackets were reportedly ready to jettison, via CBO.

It's not like we needed to take on Umberger to get us to the Cap floor or anything.

The story is he really didn't get along with Berube.

Maybe the best thing is that it's a harbinger that undisciplined and careless play will not be tolerated, even if the guy is a team leader.

Well as I was corrected before, Umberger wasn't a healthy scratch in the playoffs, he had a herniated disc, that is a bit more settling.

I do realize some.would, but I wouldn't. Not this year. I would take the risk on seeing what Schenn is and that the defense we drafted develop.

In other news...you can make things look bad by leaving out key facts...for example...let's just pretend Richards is captain in LA and he and Carter are the two best players on the team for this argument so it makes sense.

Let's also ignore that the players they got back in those trades have overwhelmingly out performed Carter and Richards and are much more important to the Flyers than Carter and Richards have been to the Kings.
