So should the thought be that the Flames want Reinhart (and assuming that Ekblad is gone at first overall). Is it worth it at all to attempt to flip picks with Buffalo?

It seems to me that Buffalo will be picking one of the Sam's and there have been pretty much an equal amount of reports leading to either one. It also seems that Edmonton will be picking Draisaitl. So that leaves the Flames with whichever Sam Buffalo does not take. I think that either one will be a great pick. But if they want to guarantee that it is Reinhart, should they make that attempt.

Obviously need to keep in mind that really there isn't a lot of difference in rankings / potential between Bennett and Reinhart. So in no way would I offer the world to make a move like this. Also there is the knowledge that Buffalo will be pretty much guaranteed Bennett.

And I'm not saying that this is a must move. Just wondering.

I want Reinhart but think we get Dreadle or Ritchie.

Of course Buffalo will ask high, but knowing that it means that they will get either Reinhart or Bennett they can't realistically expect a lot. I'm not even convinced this would be a "must move". I think that both will be equal players (each bringing different game characteristics) but I believe that Reinhart is a better fit for the Flames than Bennett is.

To me I would offer one of the following to go along with 4th overall:

D. Jones
Galiardi
Byron
Agontino
Hanowski
Ferland
Arnold
Colorado 2nd
Calgary 3rd

See if one of those works, then tweak the deal from there.
