If they could deal Vinny and Grossmann for picks, sign Fayne and a guy like Kulemin, I'd be happy with the off season
- Jsaquella

I believe both guys could be signed for a combined cap hit of around $4.5 million/yr. Pretty good value IMO. I think this is the type of bargain shopping we will see from Hexy this offseason, besides the resigning of B. Schenn.

Pretty confident, Vinny gets moved, just a matter if the Flyers have to eat salary to move him. I can see Tallon having interest in him.

Lol, are you telling me that the opportunity to bring Bryz back doesn't excite you?
- Tomahawk

Ha! Man, I know and understand why you guys don't want to overpay a backup goalie, but Good Lord. There's quantity available, but damn if I want to see any of those guys play anytime soon

x2 -- again, I tell myself every day that if it all goes to hell, Vinny might be here, though if Hextall's talking to his agent, you'd think something will get done

With Richards on the market now... I dunno... I get the sinking feeling that Vinny's going to be the guy w/o a seat when the music stops.

I think he'll be dealt. Flyers will have to eat some salary, but I would be incredibly surprised to see him on this roster next year.

It depends on where he wants to move. If he would wave to go to Florida or Nashville, that could really help. Those teams aren't going to be attractive places for FAs like Richards and Stastny.

It's important, I feel -- it's not the only thing that matters, but anybody who has ever played sports realizes that extended winning or losing breeds good or bad habits
- AllInForFlyers

Yep. At the very least, if you have a good AHL team, you can call up good players in case of injuries and not hope that some kid can handle the job.

I thought I'd hate it, but it was unbelievable. We had so many issues until the day before the wedding. Then, everything just fell into place perfectly.

Thanks. It was a great wedding. I don't know how my wife (sounds weird saying) found such great people to work with.

I really had hoped Alex Stalock would get to UFA. He would have been my top target.

I'd still consider Emery, but he'd need to take a rather significant paycut. I like Greiss, Al Montoya & Chad Johnson. I don't want Lindback. Guys like Devan Dubnyk or Evgeni Nabaokov would be interesting at a cheap price.

As for Brennan, if he were to agree to a $600k or so deal, sure, sign him. He'd really be little more than a depth guy for the system, but there's nothing wrong with adding an AHL vet(who is a really good player at the level) to help the Phantoms and restore them to a winning team.

Great point!

What would a buyout cost?
We have no CBO's left, but his salary is too much to hide again for another year, especially when other holes exist.

Edit: obviously going this route if no one takes him off our hands.

How'd things end up with that guitar player you hired for the ceremony?
