Kaleta should be back on the Sabres next season. As of right now he is the best Penalty killer in the organization, he will be able to contribute 6-8 goals (don't forget all the shortys he ends up with), and there are very few other players who you can count on to give 110% every game no matter how bad the team is.

Lieuwen, Hackett & Makarov had all been very up & down in their careers
I don't have faith that any of them will ever be more than a decent backup in the NHL

Didn't know he signed a long term deal already? If the Sabres can sign him to a 3/4 year deal, not bad! These 6/7 year deals are what is killing professional sports. Looking forward to next week.

People want to wait 3/4 more years! Tank again this year, lose the lottery or McDavid gets hurt, NHL changes Draft system..........anything can happen?

After this draft we will have a stockpile of prospects in Jr's, AHL and NCAA. Time to get some FA to teach these young players how to be men!

That is a deal breaker with him . That is why he is no longer a Ranger . He wants long term deal and no trade clause .
