I have to agree with you about the heart but the talent seems to be in spezzas corner. I honestly don`t like his demeanor however, to me, a motivated and well supported spezza is a very scary spezza.

For Sharp..although hes a great player and has a true bullet of a shot I find that being played most of the time with extremely good players, like Kane and Towes which are both inherently amazing at the sport, helps to inflate ones statistics.

Sharp is a two way player and had more points.

Spezza has never been very good two way player.

Maybe sharp had it easier but they brought in bobby ryan for spezza couldn't play with him and lost his job to turris.

Sharp is 2years younger. Better defensively, and is under contract for a few more years...

So yes, trade would definitely be Spezza+ for Sharp.

1. 08-09... Yea lets pick the year when the blackhawks starting get really good and the Sens starting getting really bad and lets comparing Sharp and Spezza's points. Better yet let's use goal totals (which are the only one favouring sharp), even though Spezza is a playmaker and pass first center.

The one thing I'll give you, Sharp is better defensively than Spezza but right now the deal doesn't make sense for the Sens. It is fair value tho

Its not going to happen. With their NTC they will not waive unless going to the same team, and they would not waive to go to Brooklyn. Unfortunately they will be Canucks till retirement due to hefty contracts and NTC's.

If Benning could trade them for assets right now, I wish it would happen.
