[quote=J35Bacher]Better Match ups:
Flyers vs Pens-Blood feud
Wild vs Stars-meh- Picked cause of the stars move. Old vs New
Kings vs Ducks-won't draw much interest outside south
Sharks vs Kings - see above Yeah but it did well for the stadium series so it had a cool dynamic.
Canadiens vs Boston- Classic!
Rangers vs Islanders- zzzz
Flyers vs Capitals- rather Flyers vs Pitts
Redwings vs Chicago- would be better if still in same Conf.
Redwings vs Toronto- Old School! - BiggE

I think you have to have that game at Beaver stadium to maximize it. They would set and attendance record and with both teams hating each other they could market the sh%t out it. - J35Bacher
I remember reading that PSU wouldnt let that happen. |

What do you think he wants? And what would you pay him?
Just curious. - FlyersGrace
I would almost think he would be looking in the 2.5 - 3 range |

I don't think it is PSU. I think they problem is because it would be a neutral site one of the teams would have to give up a home game and thats the problem |

Man - they could sell tickets to the pre-game and post-game tail-gating celebrations. The hate is probably more for the fans than even the players!
I can see headlines now:
"Flyers fan claims self defense for stabbing a flaming shish-ka-bob stick into Penguins fan gut..." |

I find that hard to believe, because the university would probably see a fat paycheck out of it.

Trade for Spencer Abbott from TOR and go with a line of Read - Ott - Abbott
I can see NHL.com's headlines now "Read Ott Abbott it!" |

Thought the same thing. It would be more fun if the crowd was half Flyers fans and half Pens fans.
Compromise could be letting one team collect revenue from the game, but selling tickets to both teams equally. |

People including myself have mentioned age working against Ott. I'm going back on this. We just signed Scott Hartnell a year ago for a hell of a lot more money and a lot more years then Ott is going to command and Hartnell is the same age. Granted Hartnell is easily more talented but both play a similar style and some might expect both to ware down. |

I think he means that just because we signed Hartnell under a certain set of circumstances, that that doesn't mean we should sign Ott under a similar set of circumstances. |

Just because Hartnell signed a long term deal at the same age doesn't mean the Flyers should sign Ott long term. |

I'm not even sure I follow the logic -- "Yes, Scott Hartnell is a better player than Steve Ott -- by far, IMO -- but we should sign Steve Ott and overlook his flaws because he and Hartnell are the same age and play a similar style."

Good questions. He's probably not looking to take much of a paycut. And what I would want to pay him probably won't get it done, which is based on what I think the Flyers can afford. |

Everyone tweet LEO Komorav and tell him to reach out to Flyers. Save us from signing Ott.
I started his fan club and it doesn't look like TO will be signing him |
