Thank you! As crazy as this may sound, I think my offer was very realistic. We might not like it but I think a lot of teams like him regardless of what his numbers show. - SuperSchennBros
i know. i just think the disconnect comes from you realizing it may take that kind of deal. and wanting him anyway.
and then you say that youre simply a flyers fan first. thats fine and all (well not really, but no ones perfect) but the thing is, ott at that kind of deal actually hurts the team. and i wouldnt want a team i was a fan of getting hurt |

Do you? If you do, make it happen. - SuperSchennBros
In a nutshell, I think his point is that Ott is an unrealistic possibility right now because his cap hit and length of term would not fit with his vision of this team and its current financial restrictions and roster makeup. If you say, "They should get him becuase I want him but they probably can't," then that's fine, and a good debate. But as far as discussing the process by which he could realistically be acquired is what has people in an uproar. |

It reminds me of that scene in Addams Family Values where the camp counselors keep trying to pronounce "Jamar." - jmatchett383
We had a girl named Keisha (Pronounced Kee-Shah) in the class too. Our teacher would just combine their names and called them both Kalisha. |

...We won't know until after July 1st?
Look, if we had had the answers, there would be no questions. |

I'm one of the few who think we're a better team with Vincent LeCavalier but also open mind that we have to wait for the offseason end before seeing the final result. I think I'm being a realistic, regardless of whether my head and my heart agree. |

I was at the River Sharks game last night (for free, so, eat me) and the other team had a player named "Joash" (Joe-Ash). I understand people wanting their kid to have a "unique" name (okay, no I don't) but that one just seemed ridiculous and lazy to me. |

I think he's a good fit. No, I think he's a very good fit. Ott is easily better then Steve Downie on a bad team. If the money doesn't work, then once again for the hundredth time...then it doesn't work. |

I think that's part of it. Most people on here post their wants with a way to do it. There may not be a way to add Ott. |

thats fine. but thats where the disagreement comes in.
to me, thats like saying the pens are better with scuderi and his deal on the roster.
