Yea.. because a guy who is on his 4th team in 3 years should definitely be signed to a 4-5 year deal, following a season with a beautiful stat line.
82 games
9 goals
14 assists
23 points
-38 - jak521
Sabers wanted to keep Ott, they couldn't come to an agreement. Blues want bacn but talks have gone cold. From an offensive standpoint, who leads the charge for these two teams? Please tell me. Ott isn't an offensive player to begin with.
Lecavalier gets 4.5 for five years at age 33.
Streit 5.25 million for four years at age 35
Peonger signs 4.9 (A hair cut for him) at age 35.
Timonen a year ago signs 6 million (granted one year but not worth it) at age 39
Hartnell signs 4.75 for six years at age 31? Did the deal just kick in?
Ott isn't one of these players but from an age standpoint, I believe in this player on a good team.
I give my opinion and man do you guys cry like it's the end of the world. You can pretend like you don't stress but your words and concerns say different. Man oh man. |

If so, may god be with your poor soul.

I thought you could sign a player to 8 years as long as you hold his rights (i.e. not a UFA). - jmatchett383
they have to be on your reserve list/roster before the TDL to offer the eighth year. I had one of our Pens thread friends look it up.

Family, religion, friendship. These are the three demons you must slay if you wish to succeed in business. When opportunity knocks, you don't want to be driving to a maternity hospital or sitting in some phony-baloney church. Or synagogue. |

I wanted a destination wedding with just immediate family. When I brought that up last year, they all looked at me with a blank stare.
We were in the same situation with capacity. We had about 15 too many people and we didn't think anyone was going to decline to come. We rolled the dice and 25 people aren't coming, so we have the room. - PhillySportsGuy
I honestly don't have any expectations from the wedding, I just want to be married and get on with life. What's discouraging is it's already causing such stress, and this is just the first step.
Realistically, we'll probably have the space once some declines roll in. We can't bank on that when we're booking, though. Ugh.
But for real, preemptive congratulations! |

First, why did you change my user name to jpr1?
Second, the only crying about anything is you. I simply disagree with your assessment on Steve the Pirate. He is a scrappy energetic guy.. but anything over 2 mil and more than 2 years is asinine.
**You dont go giving 4th liners 5 year deals.
EDIT:
** Actually, you obviously do. I should have clarified. NHL GM's dont go giving 4th liners 5 year deals. |

We were lucky. I was working 4 days a week, so I was able to make all of the arrangements during the week (after running them by my wife) and we were with a hall that was very nice and accommodating. |

You could always try telling them that Raptor Jesus says they need to "Shut their damn mouths." But being as you're all Raptor Jews, I guess they (erroneously) don't believe in Raptor Jesus as their savior. |

We drew a hard line of where people got cut off. When you're inviting your second cousin once removed and her ex-husband's 3 nephews from his second marriage (we didn't do this, just an extreme example), it gets crazy. We kept it to immediate family, grandparents, aunts/uncles/nephews/nieces, and the friends who we really wanted there. Got it under 80 people, and just made things so much easier (and cheaper). - jmatchett383
We're still trying to make all the aunts, uncles, and cousins fit. Second cousins and the dog's best friend are not considerations. Unfortunately, the few getting left off are on my side, so I'm stuck between my parents' and my fiance's desires.
I will be so glad when it's all over. |

Honestly, once the planning is over, all you need to do is make sure your best man gets the ring and show up on time. You walk up, say your words (see if the officiant can work in the Flyers, mine did) and take pictures. Then kick back, relax, and enjoy the reception. |
