Not really
He was a very effective player for the Stars, but over the last 2 seasons, he hasn't been very good. Part is the Sabres sucking and part is Ott sucking. He was terrible during his brief stint with the Blues |

Honestly, my mom has been the bigger problem. She keeps changing her mind. I finally had to lay down the law and just make decisions. It's all good now though. - PhillySportsGuy
We were lucky, we took input from everyone if they want to give us some, but we made all of the decisions ourselves. |

So you think his aggression and face off ability justify a long term deal? |

I think the best idea would be to trade our 1st rounder for his rights so we can sign him to an 8-year deal instead of a 7-year deal. |

We took control early, but we had a budget and no one wanted to tell us the budget. We just had to estimate it. It finally reached a point where we picked everything, but the parents said they would handle everything else.
They ended up (frank)ing everything up and pissing off everyone we're working with. It's like our parents think they know more about weddings than the people who actually work these things every weekend. |

I'm so glad everything is done. The mothers have made this a difficult planning process. - PhillySportsGuy
I feel you. I'm caught in a bind with the guest list (we're up against the capacity for the fiance's preferred venue), it's proving to be a strong source of anxiety.
Frankly, I'd be fine with renting a fire hall and ordering pizza, but the odds of that happening are less than zero. |

we'd need a time machine to go back to before the deadline to acquire him to make that eighth year possible

I wanted a destination wedding with just immediate family. When I brought that up last year, they all looked at me with a blank stare.
We were in the same situation with capacity. We had about 15 too many people and we didn't think anyone was going to decline to come. We rolled the dice and 25 people aren't coming, so we have the room. |

Are you marrying an eyetalian?
If so, may god be with your poor soul.
I wanted low key as well, 265 people later... My poor* wallet.

We drew a hard line of where people got cut off. When you're inviting your second cousin once removed and her ex-husband's 3 nephews from his second marriage (we didn't do this, just an extreme example), it gets crazy. We kept it to immediate family, grandparents, aunts/uncles/nephews/nieces, and the friends who we really wanted there. Got it under 80 people, and just made things so much easier (and cheaper). |

I thought you could sign a player to 8 years as long as you hold his rights (i.e. not a UFA). |
