Apparently, it has more to do with market shape and centrality. Basically, you can't make a coherent "shape" of the markets in some of those combo cities where people watch more than 50% of one type of channel or another. In other words, there's a defined number of people that can and do watch only Buffalo broadcast (AKA over the air) channels, and another area where it's only Rochester. I guess that makes sense because I have a fairly powerful antenna on my roof, and the only time I can get Rochester channels is when it's really hot and humid, and the signal doesn't last very long.

That's probably the reason.

Yeah I got your PM on that antenna. I plan to get one and erect it when I get some spare time(assuming I ever do). How funny that humidity improves the reception.

Rangers will pay Richards $14MM spread over the next 12 years to not play hockey.

Guaranteed contracts need to go.

Basically, the troposphere is what allows RF signals to travel. The thinner it gets, the farther a signal (usually) can travel. Humidity on a clear day can thin it out.

Between Richards, DP, Yashin and Leino. Over $40mm not to play hockey.

It's amazing how much you learn with this stuff. The only problem is, you have to get the antenna up first, otherwise nothing makes sense.

No thanks . He refused to even take a meeting with us last time. Let him join the Leafs - get overpaid , underperform and persecuted by the Leaf nation

So glad we avoided the Richards disaster. We probably would still be trying to be mediocre

All the other fans on here were chirping us because Richards wouldn't talk to the Sabres. Now what? Then you had Erhoff who wouldn't sign with the Isles and came here instead.

Its funny how realities change. This is why I'm not a fan of "winning" the offseason. Headlines don't mean crap. Wins do.

GM's should all just refuse them.

At the risk of getting slammed for bringing him up again, I brought up the notion that ROR would not be worth $7 million a year in the long run. I was asked if I would pay Drury that much back in 2007. My answer was "back then, yes, and it would have been a mistake".

Any interest in Dave Bolland for the right price to begin building our bottom 6?

Agreed. Right there with ya on the Bias. That should change for both BUF and EDM once they become contenders.

If Drury was ROR's age, I don't think it would have been.
