Huge college town. Ohio St. is in Columbus I was there about 15 years ago and my head was on a swivel the entire time.

If I am an NHL player a place like that is a dream come true. No pressure, huge payday, and enjoy the life.

The 'Roberto Luongo' of HB if you will.

I dont see it that way at all. Exclude Mason (Who had to stand on his head) and you see a flyers team that was outplayed so badly by the Rangers that is was excruciating to watch. Made you wish for Flyers of old like Lindros and LeClair.

Disagree, this team is as good as Any in the East. They proved that by the end of last season. They need a full season with Berube, where they are practicing systems they already know in training camp, not on the job training durning the season. The fact we came back is impressive. We took the Eastern conference Champs to 7 games and lost the last one 2-1. Couple of better bounces and a healthy Mason for the whole series and it's a whole new hockey game.

Thats great, but we are still out in the first round. I'm sure Montreal said the same thing losing to Boston in game 7 OT in 2011, and the next year they missed the playoffs.

Absolutely. Let the kids play. Ghost, Morin, Hagg, Laughton. Would be better in the long run instead of playing Grossmann and others for no reason. Why? so we can be eliminated in the playoffs early again?
- GOA88

Teams do not benefit from playing guys who are not NHL ready, and neither do the players themselves. That is part of the "secret" of player development. Of the aforementioned players, only Laughton might be NHL ready out of camp

Trade Couturier. We need more youth on this team

The franchise that hasn't won a playoff series in their 14 year existence. The measuring stick which all franchises should compare themselves to.
- PLindbergh31

Look at every Cup winning roster and you will find several players who began their careers with other teams. The it-only-happens-to-the-Flyers mentality is excruciatingly childish.

Seeing Carter win the Cup and have a great playoff run is probably harder to take for Columbus than the Flyers.

I hear ya. I just cant watch another season of the slowest team on ice. Personally I dont think the Rangers are all that great. Yet they made the Flyers look horrible.

I believe the Bruins were the best team in the east, but were beat by a great goaltending effort.

I think the Rangers, without question, were the second best team in the East at worst.

I think it's harder for CBJ because they only got Jack Johnson and Marko Dano for him.

Please consider that they played against Fleury and (2) backup goalies. I think Habs take the series with Price in net. I think Flyers (as badly as they played) take the series with Mason a full series.

Rangers beat us in 7. The games we beat them we outscored them 14-5. Yea we were outplayed, but calm down a little bit. You make it seem like we were swept. You're exhausting with the hatred.

I would have liked to see the Rangers play the Habs with a healthy Carey Price.

The lesson is to pout your way to a good situation when things don't go your way.
