No the one that hit ....and hit hard....the one that fought to defend his team mates.......the one that scored 20 as a rookie and followed up with back to back 17 goal seasons.....the one that was far more engaged before he got his $...that one....not the one that plays when he wants too. - landros 2

Top 25?
Karlsson, Doughty, Keith, Seabrook, Weber, Chara, Letang, Byfuglien, Hedman, Suter, Markov, Subban, Pietrangelo, OEL, Shattenkirk, McDonagh, Goligoski, Fowler, Hamhuis, Edler, Giordano, Kronwall
Those are given. I don't think Dion (right now) is top 25 in the NHL. I'd take those Dmen before Dion.... in a heartbeat in almost all cases - AlfieisKing

I'm not saying he is 1C as of now but give him 2-3 years he very well could be. Still has time to develop. I mean he's 2nd line center for Philly and we have depth at that position. I'm not saying he's the best or great 2C but he's a sold 2C for now - arichardson22
I dont know what his d is like but he was only top 60 C in scoring due to injuries to stamkos hanzal and grabovski that forced them to miss a lot of games. |

Well Schenn has been durable since he entered the league. Dressed all 82 last year
And 47/48 year before. All those guys and most centers get PP time Schenn gets barely any. But that will change this year IF he stays with Philly |

The powerplay point is fair a lot of the guys ahead of him get at least somewhat regular powerplay time. But durability doesnt make him more qualified for a number 2 center especially when guys stull miss a few games and outscore him. Not that I think hes bad I just think at the moment hes a borderline 2 very solid 3 (around same as tyler johnson who I really like) with potential to be a solid-good second line center in a couple years (top 45 ish in the league as a floor) |

Come On he is not top 25 d-man. Offensively he has never been a top 50 in points for D-men and on the defensive he hasnt been as good. He is number 2 d-men. prolly top 50 D-men in the league - hanleyaj

TB: Bishop + 1st in 2014 (19) <-> WPG: Kane + 1st in 2014 (9)
TB then signs Miller, 3-4 yrs at $4.5-5/per - mventres

If Chevy believes Bishop is the real deal, then the offer works well for them. They move out Kane, who isn't doing the team any good due to his numerous antics and mediocre performance. This year's draft isn't anything special, so likely little drop off between the 9 and 19th picks. Plus Bishop is 2.3 cap hit this year, which saves money. Otherwise, they have no goalie in the system or any real trade prospects to bring in somebody comparable to Bishop...it's an even deal imo. - mventres
Doesn't account for the fact that Kane is not what the Bolts are looking for. Yes we are looking for a veteran forward to help lead the way for all of the youth at forward (assuming Calahan walks), but even you say that Kane is full of antics. So why would Yzerman trade Bishop for a headcase when the player we are looking to acquire is supposed to be a leader?

I wouldn't be so sure. Bishop wasn't anything spectacular before this year, and near the end of the season he started coming back to earth in his play...I doubt he does so well next year.
ANA: Andersen + Gibson are there, no room for Miller. He'd be pushed out of the starter position too soon by Gibson. Plus, ANA has more pressing issues than to bring in Miller.
SJ: Similar case as ANA. They don't need Miller as he's not an improvement on Niemi, who is only 3.8/yr cap hit...he is on his final season, but with Stalock waiting in the wings, I just don't see a fit for Miller here either. - mventres
How many NHL games did Bishop have before this season? Less than 30 if my memory serves correct. You could argue that he doesn't have the experience to be called "elite", but to say he wasn't "anything special" with almost no NHL experience to speak of is |

The Schenn love is a little overboard.
1. He will never oust Giroux from the top line, therefore, he is not a 1C on your team, and most likely, not a 1C on any team.
Teams he might be a 1C by default on are: Buffalo, Nashville, maybe Phoenix.
2. He is not a franchise player
3. he managed 41 pts in 82 games this season, so .5 PPG pace. His 41 pts put him at 58th among scoring for C's in the NHL this season.
4. You say he had no PP time, but 9 of his 41 pts, so almost 1/4 was on the PP.
5. His Faceoff percentage was terrible at 43%. Most teams won't let a 4th line C have a faceoff win% that low.

We will see....based on the current prospect pool, at least 4 picks in the top 50 draft this year and 3 first rounders next year I'd say that the team is on the right path for a fairly quick rebuild. |

I don't think Dion is worth what Toronto wants in return. Take Schenn straight up or pass. |

Well I know two of the rumours are wrong:
1) no one wants to go back to buffalo
2) if trotz wants a strong d, phaneuf will not help that - Fakepartofme
I really think Moulson would be welcomed back...still young AND actually both he and Ott stated publicly they enjoyed time here and would be open to retyurn |
