I keep hearing Ryan Ellis' name come up, but I'm just not getting how him being in our top-4 makes us much better than having Schultz there. He's worse offensively and has only ever played sheltered minutes (16:04 average this season) on a strong defensive squad.

As for the rest of those moves, I don't see Stastny signing here especially consdering who we'll have coming up the pipes (Draisaitl) and on the team already (RNH). How exactly are we getting Hanzal? Klefbom+ Gagner?

Gregor had the director of scouting for FLO on his show yesterday. Worth the listen. Guy really compared Draisaital to Barkov. Skilled, strong on the puck, very determined, smart in own zone, etc...

Was just listening to Ross McLean this morning on 1260 and he mentioned consistency issues with draisaitl. Only him I've heard it from though. He is 18 years old so it can be worked out. Tho isn't to be confused with effort IMO.

Gregor talked about how every player he talked too that played against Draisaitl said that the kid was always the best player on the ice.

The kid had 105 points in 64 games, how inconsistent could he be? He also was scoring a goal every 2 games, actually a female genitalia hair better than that pace.

The other thing that I look at is the below link. Who the (frank) is he even playing with? There looks to be zero support offensively on that team.

Honestly I don't know if it's a race thing or what. Because the haters really (frank)ing hate.

To be honest I really don't care who we take, I'm still on board with moving the pick if there is a move to be made. No one here has seen enough of everyone to really make a decision. I have faith in our staff to make the right pick though if we do indeed pick 3rd.

The one nice thing about Bennett and Gregor also mentioned it, is that he is probably a lot easier to send to junior.
