That could be. It's been awhile since I've seen him play and I admit to not closely monitoring him or anything.

My memory of him in FLA was a guy who played with a lot of pace who seemed to play in lots of different, tough situations. Of course, I could be misremembering.

He was fast, and he and Weiss had good chemistry together, but not sure that they saw many of their opponent's A-games, and I suspect they faced a lot of backup goalies, too.

There's a 100% chance if Thomas comes to us that I'll throw up a little.

I ave feeling that Vinny might be able to be moved a little easier then we think. I know he is not as productive as guys like Spezza and Thorton or Marleau but I think he will end up being a fall back option for some team tha misses out. Myabe since Spezza won't go to Nashville they think Vinny could help them. Maybe OTT wants Vinny to be a first line center to help the youth once they move Spezza. Florida could maybe use him to help with youth and take some pressure off the youngsters. I know they are just theories but when you look at the landscape it seems like some vets are going to be moved but might be replaced by another vet.

He would be a solid backup if hes willing to accept that role and for minimal cash. That said I highly doubt that would happen or if it would be worth the headache.

Speaking of Weiss, look at what Detriot got out of him and what we got out of Vinny. People want to kill us with the Vinny deal but I have to say Weiss hasn't really helped Detriot. Just people want to kill Philly

I have the feeling that if they don't move him before July 1, it probably isn't going to happen, with all the other fall-backs teams have this summer.

Ottawa is the one place I think will be interested. Melnyk would probably love coopting the Vinny brand at a deep discount... hopefully they can move Spezza asap.

I agree. I am hoping it is done at the draft. Vinny to OTT, Spezza to ANA.

I just read that Richards agent doesn't think the Rangers will buy him out. If that were to happen would you OS Krieder after the compliance window is closed and force the Rangers to cap problems?

Just want to screw the rangers. not sure if it works but it would be fun

You can try it. But, assuming he signs the OS, I'm pretty sure the Rangers would wait 6 days, 23 hours, 59 minutes before they matched or let him go. During that time, the Flyers cap space takes into account the amount of the offer sheet, so it would prohibit them from pursuing other FA's.

Coburn is the Flyers' most mobile defenseman and their ONLY one who has both size and skating ability; the others have one or the other -- or at least a high level of savvy and good puck skills -- but not both. Additionally, he is a durable player who eats a lot of minutes and rarely misses time with injury.

Unpossible! I've heard Coburn blows and should be traded immediately for just about any other player.
