Ahhhh - yes - certainly possible - I would prefer he show that improvement on the third line rather than hoping for it on the second - this is a team built to win - hard to keep putting "wishes and hopes" into important positions - without a back-up plan - which they didn't have last year, when Pirri failed, and (without getting a true experienced 2C) they wouldn't have this year, should Shaw fail.

I like Shaw - I like him at wing - I like him at 3rd line - at least this year.

Yes, but it was stated that Neilsen was better than 50%, when this was proved to be inaccurate the narrative was deflected to Toews also being under 50% on the PK. Still doesn't change the fact that Neilsen's numbers were less impressive than originally stated. We were not talking about Toews.

Leddy did score a big goal....against St louis.....In 3 years shaw will be the same player he is today.....against that's okay because I think he's a good bottom six forward. .....Nothing more.

He does take a lot of dumb penalties, but he is big on the ice. Not many will go to the front and take a beating while doing a great job. Plus he is huge in the room. Jamal mayers talked about how important he is keeping things loose in the room

Career total FO% Toews is > 50%. So comparable in one facet of FO stats, but not overall.

Islanders are one of my favorite teams outside of the hawks so I've watched plenty.....and you don't have to throw hits to be physical. .......you got me on the 50% at the dot......493% is so horrible.....should I still hammer you for claiming he only had 5 points on the PP last year?.....that was last week......and he is bigger than kruger....

Couple of games - maybe a couple of periods - maybe a couple of shifts - too little? Probably.

For once, I'd like to see them solve a problem with a proven commodity, not a skater either too old or too inexperienced - or a skater not put into that position before.

Deal with the problem with a transaction with a high probably of succeeding: what are the chances the Shaw succeeds at 2C - if it's not 70%, it's too problematic for my tastes - I want a 70% solution for a team that is in Cup contention.

And again - doing nothing at 2C leaves no back-up plan in case it doesn't work - just like last year.

Well, TT is more of a pass-first guy himself.

If TT is the 2C next year, then they need to move Kane up with Toews , and Hossa with TT.
