Alex burrows 3/13.5
Ryan clowe
Brad richards (no first rounder would use themselves)
Rob scuderi 3/10.125
Mike richards 6/34.5 (30th overall pick)
Chris pronger 3/15 (can they trade him?)

Only guys i can find that might be worth acquiring along with a 1st rounder in order to compliance buy out

Not saying it would or wouldn't but it doesn't make sense for the Avs to trade him for Ehrhoff and either Hodgson/ Ennis. They would get a better offer IMO from other teams.
- SABRES 89

To be determined
My point is... They COULD trade him and get a good return instead of signing him to a crazy contract
I like the player, so if we got in on that if be very happy
There's a limit to how much I'd pay,
But I do think he could be an important piece for us going forward
I see him as another version of Drury

I don't think Pronger affects them because he is on LTIR. Not sure about that. I would do my best to keep Mike Richards, if there wasn't a condition for the pick based on a buyout.

He looks pretty good to me for a 23yr old
#1.... I wouldn't say that... Unless u wanted to compare him yo "#1s" like Burgeron & Drury
Idk about u...
But I'd LOVE to get a player like that
I don't need him to be "Crosby"
We get that next draft

- jdfitz77

I'd like to have him too. Personally I think we have a similar player in Girgensons.

O'Reilly would have been great here when we had Connolly and Roy as our other centers. Now I think we have a whole team (prospects mostly) of bigger 2 way forwards, especially if we take Reinhart or Bennett (both defensively responsible players) I don't think O'Reilly is something we are desperately lacking

Ehrhoff won't go west but I did mention before the Stars were interested in him, Lindy might make a difference of Ehrhoff going west.

The topic of trading for players to buy them out. Was that from Murray or just an idea proposed on the buzz. Sorry if I missed the origin of it.

Don't think that offer works as they overvalue him and yes I think he is a 2C at best. Better suited to a good 3C that can be moved to 2C when needed . And that is what I picture Girgensons as. Roy has publicly stated deal with O'Reilly will get done . He thought it was mishandled last time. I don't think Sakic and Roy plan on him leaving town for at least 6 - 8 years.

A guy that scores 28goals as a 22/23yr old is "better suited to be a 3c"
Well... If he's our 3c behind some combo of McDavid/Eichel/Reinhart...
Then we are winning MULTIPLE cups

Girgensons is still a question mark, esp scoring
O'Reilly is already good, with the potential to be VERY good

I'd take Moulson, Ott/ Mike Richards. Why the Kings would move Richards make no sense to me, they could still keep Gaborik and have enough.

Let's say Girgensons does work out...
I'm pretty Ok with having TWO "Bergerons" on our team...
Or even three!

Just here
I don't think the league would allow it
I think it'd be seen as circumvention
I could see us trading for a guy that had a couple years of a bad contract left to help us get to the floor though

I believe it was an idea from an interview that Murray had. Saying if we have to take contracts for buyouts, we wouldn't be opposed to doing that.

I vaguely recall that.

I think people assume Richards doesn't have much left in the tank. They seem to think he lost a step this year and his role dimminished on a very deep team. I would take him in a heartbeat.

I am all for whoever Tim Murray thinks bolsters our bottom six and signs to maximum 3 years contracts . I am sure him and his staff have done their homework.

I feel Washington could be a strong suitor for Erhoff . What is their new GM willing to give up. Being a new GM hopefully he is not as emotionally attached to Burakovsky as the guy that drafted him.

The length left on his deal is the only thing that would scare me off.

I hope Girgensons turns into a hard hitting 50 point guy . That is where I envision him . Not fair to compare Girgensons numbers to O'Reilly . Girgensons is still learning and has a lot less talent around him.
