I don't think any of those guys are coming to Chicago.
Honestly, Bowman will more than likely sign another bottom 6 center, and Q will rotate out Shaw and Smith to center the 2nd line to start the season until Teravainen is ready to go. - EKolb13
Hawks would be nuts to move Saad. I think Hawks will go status quo until TT is ready.
The Ducks acquired a center prospect yesterday so they will have their ducks in a row ,sort to speak, to make a move soon.
I think it will be the Ducks , they have the cap space and they have the prospects. |

Yeah this won't surprise me one bit. I personally don't like it, but it wouldn't be the worst thing. We are still one great team |

Fair deal or not, this still doesn't work for the Hawks cap-wise. - EKolb13
Just add Versteeg. It will work then. |

Did you see what Calgary offered for Spezza? Buying centres this year is not going to be cheap. |

What did they offer? And more importantly, who is the source? |

For some reason Q hasn't been playing Sharp at centre for the past few years. But if it's so important to this club to have a 2C I don't know why they just don't love Sharp over from the wing. He may not be the perfect 2C but we don't have to give up anything in that move. Shaw could move to the 3rd line and Stan could still sign a depth centre. I know this won't happen, but it would be the easiest move. - DarthKane
THIS!!
I'm not sure I care what position Sharp wants to play, he's under contract for a pretty penny, we need him to play the middle. Kane was willing to attempt it, Sharp has done it at this level, needs to stay there to improve the center position here. |

You make it sound like Sharp is refusing to play center. He has said several times in interviews over the last few years that he would if asked. It is an organizational (read Q) decision. |

I'm still holding onto hope that Bowman pulls off a Nielsen for Oduya trade. |

Read the second paragraph of the Flames blog. 3 position players and a pick , but Spezza put them on his 10 team no trade list.

The draft picks being the most valuable parts. Backlund is ok. Hudler and Wideman are beginning to reach jouneyman status. |

The center they picked up was Louis LeBlanc. Seems more like a guy they are taking a flyer on for a conditional 5th round pick in a pretty weak draft. Leblanc seems to have worn out his welcome in the Montreal organization. Hardly would think he would play a factor into whether the Ducks pursue Kesler or not. At least the way I see it. |

Lets go Gingerbread. Name the player. Also, explain how you think that player is going to make the leap from facing the bottom 5 QoC to facing top 10. |

I've got a feeling that if Oduya gets moved, they'll try Leddy there... |

Because they have no cap flexibility, can't do picks and prospects, say, for a Nielsen - type return. Have to give up salary - which means (because no one will do Versteeg and Roszival for Nielsen) giving up quality - with thecrssulting hole that must be filled.
Who replaces Sharp, if he goes - Saad? Hopefully.
The Hawks, next year, will be looking at either Shaw hopefully performing at 2C, or Leddy hopefully performing at 4D and Dahlbeck performing at 5D or Roszival having another year left....
Whatever they do - even if it's nothing - will require a lot of faith that the resulting hole can be filled - there is not that much ready depth that you can say - with some degree of assurance - yeah, ok, that part's covered. |

Calm the (frank) down.
And if Leddy is moved into the top, no other move will matter. That is a team barely making the playoffs and a first round bounce. |
