I can't see SJ thinking Ward is that much of an upgrade on Niemi. Don't get me wrong, Niemi isn't amazing but if they are trading Marleau they have to be thinking about adding someone to replace Boyle. Not have ward and Niemi as a tandem. Ward has more value for teams like Van who some might suggest have no starting goaltender.

I don't see Ward coming to vancouver. There is always possibilities but what would we give up and why would we need him? It doesn't really make sense with how the team looks now
