Hall, Eberle, RNH, Perron, Yakupov, Nurse, Klefbom, 3rd overall for Dion and 8th overall. - laughs2907

I think what most people here are forgetting is first off the coach for edmonton used to coach the marlies so he has a little more knowledge of torontos prospects im thinking Dion and some prospects ( maybe unfortuntly a Percy or Granberg ) could be goin to edmonton for #3 pick and prospects toronto needs either a big #1 center which Edmonton wont give up ( hopkins) or a #1 defenceman ( Edmonton doesnt have one )
so Edmonton will have to give up a young stud either Eberle or one of thier young defenceman that are up and coming (Nurse)
otherwise the trade doesnt make any sence for either team to do
personally i just cant see Toronto trading dion to edmonton they dont have what we need or want - shadowspawn
if it's not a weber type coming back, the oilers will not be dealing eberle, nurse, nuge etc.
1 rw, 1c, our hopeful future 1 d. we're just creating another hole in these proposed deals.
of course we could use phaneuf, but he has too many warts (contract etc) to justify those deals.
I could see some sort deal possibly involving the 3rd/ klefbom./ marincin/
2015 1st/ gagner etc |

I'd trade for the Oilers 2015 first in a heartbeat. That's a shot at McDavid. - prock
The theory would have to be that the Oil wouldn't finish in a lottery position with Dion. However with the talk of draft lottery odds changing, I would be surprised in any team that was in the lottery this year parts with next years 2015 first round. There are possibly two amazing players. |

I believe the odds will change after next years draft, so for the 2016 draft. |

Maybe trade Gags for a great 3rd line winger and go full bore on Brian Boyle. We'd lack a 2C, but with Nuge, Boyle, Gordon and Arcobello we'd have a 1C and three pretty decent 3Cs. |

Double Dion for Taylor Hall and a 3rd of 4th round pick cause dion is such a beauty!!! |

I HATE the idea of trading Gags without a 2C in place. Arco can do the job, but I don't see it as a move forward...at all. |

Yes, it has to.....Pittsburgh needs a chance to pick up another generational talent and having them get it, is what is needed to keep them in Pittsburgh. Leave the damned lottery as it is.

I wouldn't risk next years first until I knew for sure it wouldn't be a top 10 pick. |

Why would edm. want dion phaneuf he isnt that good. Offensively he is he was never good. He way overpaid and would take heaven and earth to get him just because of his name. I go for someone cheaper and better offensively like ehroff. |

All depends on return though. If we get a player that all but guarantees we are a bubble team, not a lottery team, and we can depend on that player for 5+ years I'm all over it. But I doubt anyone is offering us those players. |
