Jeezuz, blogs I can actually read without throwing up in my mouth.

Once again, nice job, sir.

Risto definitely should start in Rochester, but he will no doubt be up before the season ends.

Grigs, McCabe and Armia need a whole year, imo.

I have the sense that Rudy will make the big club out of camp. I'm not a fan of his, but think that he played with a quiet confidence and steadiness last year. I need more offense from him though. 5'10" defensemen that don't put up many points aren't long for the NHL.

If Ristolainen is in Rochester, and ehrhoff is traded...
We are gonna have to sign some defensemen
Those moves would leave us with...
Pysyk-Myers
Weber-McBain
Ruhwedel

Do we bring back Tallinder and Sulzer?

Reggie was deemed healthy for game 1 of the cup finals and didn't play so I guess that answers your question

He hadn't played since May 3 so Sutter did not want to take the risk of playing a guy after him being out for a month/ didn't want to break up the defence corps that got them to the final

They told Sulzer that they're moving on from him, hence him signing in Europe.

I could see them signing a couple vets, or trading for one (bad contract?).

It's still possible that one if the kids wows the hell outta the brass in camp, though, and makes the team.

Rubbish.. He can continue to improve his offensive game against better competition in the AHL... There's really no argument that works in the favor of keeping a guy like Zadorov in juniors over the AHL. If anyone thinks he's better off in juniors then playing in the AHL you obviously don't have the player or the teams best interests at heart.

He can't go to the AHL yet .. let him stay in Jrs

That's precisely the point though isn't it? I assume they'll add someone via trade but that's basically the lineup you field if you're looking to bottom out without actually uttering the words "were tanking!".

My guess they make a "scuderi type move at the draft" and they offer contracts to FA similar to that of Alfredsson and Iginla, completely bonus based. Their base salary will be minimal but because of the bonuses they could get their cap hit will be much higher.

I saw him play a few times this year . I have friends in London also . It will not hurt him to stay in junior . Especially with the Knights . They have excellent coaching and organization.

And correct spelling and punctuation.

And not seem like it's being "mailed in".

Works for me
I like how Scuderi plays the game too
Myers could learn a thing or two from him

So the Habs traded Leblanc for a conditional 5th round pick? Looks like drafting a hometown hero worked out so well for them.

(drafted 18th overall, ahead of Kreider and Johansson)

I bet we start seeing a lot of Euros go back oversees instead of being borderline NHLers
Also, once they get into their mid30s I can see them want to go home to play out the rest of their careers & retire
Its already started to some extent

Works short term without damaging the long term plan. I would rather see these moves than waking up day 1 of FA to see Moulson and Callahan here on 6-7 year deals

ESPN Bills reporter Mike Rodak said second-year QB E.J. Manuel struggled with accuracy during OTAs.
Rodak said Manuel had "multiple" passes sail high during the Bills final practice and that had been "a trend during the three weeks of OTAs." The Bills are loaded at offensive skill positions, but Manuel has to play better for Buffalo to reach their full potential. We are not optimistic he will.

Because EJ stinks that's why.

Guys outperform those picked ahead of them in every draft in every sport
It just happens
Not an exact science to it

His accuracy issues worry me way more than him getting injured
If he can't fix that, he'll never be more than a borderline starter

Except if I remember correctly Louis Leblanc was supposed to be a 2nd rounder by all projections and Kreider was ranked somewhere around 15. Even at the time of the draft everyone knew this was a hometown reach by the Habs.

Just to keep the conversation moving

Ehrhoff for Johansson, 13th overall, and salary dump (draft Perlini)

Or

Ehrhoff for Burakovsky + conditional 2nd(you know, the ones that turn into a first based on a bunch of bullpoop stats or if they make a certain round of the playoffs) + salary dump

Thoughts?

McBain is gone IMO. I doubt he's tendered a qualifying offer.

1st one makes sense but the 2nd one is way off IMO. Burakovsky is going to be a star.

Yea the 2nd one is a reach for sure but i couldn't think of anyone else

I bet for them to consider that it would have to be Ehrhoff with salary retained for Burakovsky straight up.

No Moulson or Callahan please. Be a horrible decision. Get Booth, Scuderi and TooToo to get us to the cap floor.
