Naw man, +/- is the worst statistic you could use. Doesn't tell one jack poop about how a player plays or whether it was his fault goals were scored on him/ for his team.

Orpik is defensively sound, but he has played a hard game for a long time now, it takes its toll on a player. He's gotten slower the past few years, and less reliable.

He's the type of player that really starts to slow down by the early/mid 30s.

Streaky, can't play defense and some nights he is just floating around and look uninterested. And some other nights he is everywhere on the ice. (frank)ing enigmatic to me.

He's just not good enough for top minutes. At least for top tier teams.

So is Budaj with the Habs. It would be a pretty cool last go around.

He'll sign in Anaheim.

I dunno, i watched most of the Pens/Rags series and he looked pretty decent with very few turnovers. Did you watch him play in the PO? Right now, they have no one to play with PK. Neither Gorges nor Emelin can and it would be suicidal to give this duty to Tinordi/Patteryn.

I doubt Tippet would give him as much ice-time as he does if he couldn't play defense.

Other than that....sounds just about like most players in the league.

TRÈS mauvaise idée.

TRÈS.

Brodeur himself has said he doesn't want to play here. Time for anyone who things it, to move on from that fantasy.

Frenchie could confirm, but I think he played most of the time on a shutdown line with Hanzal.

When he was on a off-night, Tippet was boiling behind the bench.

As for the bolded part yeah...no.

Agreed, Gibson is. But Hiller is an UFA and Andersen might very well be used as a trade bait...
