Probably to signing with Anaheim...he's a RFA, so it's a formality.

Like Stéphane Leroux said, Habs fan can female dog and moan all they want, nobody in the Bell Center was shouting "Kreider! Kreider!" that day.

Leblanc was picked right where he was ranked by most scouting "experts".
Maybe it was development with Leblanc? Playing in 6 leagues in 5 seasons sure didn't helped (midget AAA, USHL, NCAA, QMJHL, AHL, NHL). He probably needed stability at some point.

Also, next time they pick a French guy from Quebec as a first round pick, they better make sure he has what it takes physically and mentally to bear the burden of the "Next French Hope".

Perhaps a change in scenery will help him.

Moving on.

so wait wait wait, let me see if i have this right. as fans, we cannot criticize our team's management for not having better hockey judgment than we do? please. (frank)ing A right we can trash the poop out the organization for the pick, because it was an absolute disaster, right up there with David Fisher.

Of course, but if you check the draft history of all teams, you will find picks like that. Drafting is not an exact science, and you unfortunately can't get it right every time.

Last I heard, and it is a fluid situation subject to change, Andrei Markov was asking MTL for a 3-year deal worth $6M per year. #TSN

He's no Kreider but Simon Després would have been a better pick

Looks like Ales Hemsky going to UFA. OTT offered 3 yrs for about $10M. Rejected. Sens prepared to trade his UFA rights for pick.
