Post links to these "rumors" or don't post them
- ob18

Read the post ob. They weren't rumors. It was a mock draft on reddit.

The point of the post was to show other hockey fans (the knowledgeable ones at that) are "offering" picks and decent packages for Vinny. That is, Vinny might not be seen as a bucket of poop like we make him out to be for the most part.

Those aren't rumors. He was making a point.

Flops and looks at the ref. wussy.

Still, stupid for Doughty to even do that.

Wasn't he a step behind Doughty just slashing away too? I'd have let the shove go and called it even

I never had much of an opinion about Lundqvist either way... but I'm so over all this fawning over him this post season. I think it's as bad if not worse than Crosby

I thought I read somewhere the cap could go as high as $76 million in two years. It would put the floor around $55 million. At that time, Pronger will have two more years on his contract. His pay out the last two years of the deal is $575,000/yr. I would not be surprised the Flyers able to trade his contract to a team needing help to get to the floor.

The CBA didn't address revenue sharing. Small market teams are going to feel the pinch of cap rising so much in two years.

While technically feasible, I just don't see the NHL allowing any trade involving Pronger. Especially if he's spent the previous 4 years or whatever on LTIR.

I don't know the answer. However, I know it is comparing apples to oranges, but Tim Thomas was traded to the Isles and everyone knew there was no way he was going to report. Thomas that year unofficially retired to spend more time with his family.

No that is a pretty good example actually. I forgot about that one. But yea, I do think Pronger being medically unable to play for years changes things.

Blake Clarke - LW - Saginaw Spirit - 2014 NHL Draft

“Blake is a good-sized wing who can really skate, is strong and fluid, with NHL speed….After a strong rookie season (19 goals, 32 assists in 68 games), he’s been hampered by injuries this season and is slowly working his way back into form. He has a strong shot and that’s something he needs to utilize more.” - Central Scouting

Nothing happened on that play that was even close to a penalty.

I'm not mad though.

mightve been tipped as he let it go
but that little move he made to get to the outside just before the shot was pretty sweet
