Sage, I always here about the Heat being so good. I haven't watched a game in a couple years, but I'm watching tonight. What the heck is going on? Heat down 19 at the half.

Eh. Its now or never for Leddy. And I think he steps up. If not he needs to be moved this summer. I'd rather see experienced youth than an aging veteran. But its a valid argument.
- fattybeef

If Leddy had shown improvement this year, that might be one thing, but he seems to have taken a step backward. I think before you take a chance like that with a
Cup contending team, you've got to see signs that most (sorry, Savvy) haven't seen from him. Just my take.

Spurs are going on - and some age and injuries on the Heat (Wade and his knee).

Except for the big three, the Heat don't have much - Chalmers is bad, no one else steps up.

Spurs keep retooling and rolling on - and the best coach in the league. Shooting lights out again. Don't forget - they were about one minute away from winning it all last year.

James could still lead them back - game's not over, series isn't over.

I saw today that they'll have Carmelo next year, too. The NBA is jacked up....

Rumor is James will opt out and sign a cheaper contract - Anthony signs with them.

If that happens, that's a big problem for the league.

But I'm guessing he'll resign with New York - Jackson can get very persuasive with superstars.

Phil will give him a mind-altering book, and that'll be it.

You want Kesler?

Look what garbage they got offered at the deadline, sandwiched around late first rounders in 2014 and less than prospective prospects.

I don't care about GM Benning's ideas or the fact that more centres now being available doesn't help the Canucks drive up the market.

Hawk fans, if you want Kesler,
you offer Seabrook
... and the deal is basically done.

If not, look to improve with quick big men on the wings who not only pound but are solid defensively ... and they will not come cheap...by trading others.

I like Kesler, but I wouldn't trade Seabrook for him.

Hey Bill , Seabrook for Kesler would be a real trade . Real Value for real Value and it that was what Vancouver wanted and If I were the Hawks id sleep on it hard .

ANyways Would Sharp + Leddy +maybe a pick get Spezza from the Sens assuming that the Hawks are not on Spezzas block list ? What are your thoughts on a deal for Spezza , what would the Hawks have to give up ? Would he be a good fit here and also , who , if anyone do you think the Hawks should target in FA on July 1 ?

Interesting trade thoughts by Wiz... Seabs for Kessler straight up...

Wouldn't move him defense needs more help than the offense. He's your one physical player on the backend unless you have Brookbank in.

I know Gretzky has been traded , but Hammer is kind of untouchable.

I was thinking more along the lines of Sharp and Leddy plus a 1st this year. The $ works this way .

Gamble on Leddy. He takes the step or he doesn't. I think he figures it out, especially after 300+ games gotta step up to the plate at some point.

Can't be worse than Voynov or Martinez...

- fattybeef

If you are going to gamble on Leddy in the top 4, why make any other moves? Its pointless.

I think that is a deal that could work for both teams. Does Sharp have a NTC?

Is this your idea of a hockey trade or how the Hawks dump contract obligations?

If I was Bryan Murray I would kiss your ass on Parliament Hill for giving me all that for a guy who doesn't want to play for my team anymore.
