Trading our franchise and the number 5 overall for a guy that the hawks are looking to dump for cap relief... You should be a GM bro!!

Could....

Not sure I give up Seabrook.

They don't have many productive right handed D man as it is.....

- SteveRain

Could get a huge return since no one thinks theyre desperate and then roll the dice with some veteran or hope that the kids don't suck or some combination of the two.

They could move Bickell as well but they get smaller up top by a pretty wide margin.

Do you deal guys now while there isn't much of a perceived problem or do you wait a year until you're holding a bag of crap and teams know they have you by the balls?

I think you make the deal today.

Sharp + 27th for Neilsen + 5th
- DarthKane

I don't see the Isles parting ways with Neilsen. That would fill one hole and create another. If Reinhart is still on the board at 5 he would fill a hole for many years to come. Dumping Sharp allows the Hawks to get a 2C in free agency. The Isles have one of the deepest farm systems in the league especially at the blue line. Bringing in a guy like Pokka with guys like Keith, Seabrook, and Oduya to teach him the ropes...could be scary.

Doesn't hurt to ask. You never know when Mr. Wong is going to do something stupid or tell Garth Snow to do something stupid, which he doesn't need any help at.

Bollig is a decent forward.....but can't keep up with quick/fast teams....and as far as the hawks being soft...just because they don't goon it up doesn't mean they're soft.

If you are then IF you were to deal Seabrook, you send him to Vancouver for Kesler. I don't think that'll ever happen, but that's the trade.

I wouldn't do that deal, as I think you get weaker.

Forget it. He's getting more money than the Hawks can afford to give out if he hits free agency.

When you're on a Blackhawks board you can only make trade propsals that benefit Chicago. It doesn't matter if the trade cripples the other franchise, that's not concern.

One of these years I'll make it up there and look you up. If you're ever down to catch a Hawks game and want to make the drive to Rockford to see the IceHogs, shoot me a PM.

The Isles have players in the system ready to make an impact....Nielsen is 30. You have no depth...you have no blue line....and they did not make the playoffs with Nielsen on the team...yes Tavares was hurt but I don't think it would make a difference. Nielsen is a piece you move to build towards the future....getting a Leddy type player could help the isle for years to come.....if they are not going to resign Nielsen in two years then they should move him now....

No he isn't a decent forward. He is passable largely because the Hawks require somebdy to drop the gloves occasionally. Beyond that he is an AHL player.

Except for that year they made it to the playoffs with Nielsen on the team. Leddy sucks.
