I'm totally gonna try that, with the halibut -- and GiG, i just made myself hungry, too!
- AllInForFlyers

I think I'm going to make this for dinner, it's fresh halibut season here and there is a deli with the real proshoot near by

If he can move Vinny for a 3rd and not eat any salary, I will worship at his altar!

Apparently we're (among) the front-runners for Sekac:

I dig Hexy going after these guys. Low risk, high reward.

I like that.

another left winger with good size

hope he signs with Philly!

Agree - let's give Rosehill and Rinaldo some competition to stay on the team! Although this could also be putting pieces together to make the Phantoms a more winning culture as well. Give more of our prospects the opportunity to win in the AHL...

So if Alt makes the line-up we'll have to start calling his partner Ctrl or Tab....

I don't see any of these players as competition for Rosehill. Whether he is on the team or not, is all about philosophy. If the Flyers want an enforcer on the team, Rosehill will be on the team. If they don't, then he won't be on the team.

True. I wonder if Hextall will want that enforcer?

For every Raffl there could be a Dopita or … that other guy that came over a few years ago and couldn't score. I can't for the life of me remember his name. :/

Anyways, take a shot at 2, hope at least 1 pans out into something. I agree, it's good to do considering their lack of depth in the system.

You'll be basically consigning them to a fabulous year in the Lehigh Valley then.

After the Kings got rid of Kevin Westgarth, they haven't had one since... if that's any indication.

Debatable. I think a case can be made for either way. I'd rather they carry a player with more versatility. But I also don't want a young player sitting as a 13th forward.

Oh yeah by no means am I calling these guys sure things, but that's the beauty of it. Even if they flop, who cares? They're basically on ELCs

Different era, now -- totally different. I'm not sure you can win four rounds of the playoffs while icing an extremely limited fourth line, anymore.

Exactly -- at least you can pretend they might help on the lower lines, where the Flyers simply have lacked NHL-caliber depth over the last two seasons.

We'll find out if any of the new additions are NHL caliber. Flyers are in the same boat as most teams. Some times you don't find out if players are NHL caliber until they're in the NHL. Like with Akeson. He was put in the lineup and played well. He wasn't highly thought of as NHL caliber before then. And we still don't know completely.
