No. It has nothing to do with the hit by Chara. It has more to do with the fact that they hit really hard and they like to (frank) around after the whistle... But they can't take a hit. One clean hit and they go crazy. You live by the sword, you die by the sword.

The Bruins have been conditioned to a point to react the way they do.
Too many times they have had star players get targeted and lose them for extended periods of time to concussions. Savard twice, Bergy twice, Loui twice etc.
Only one suspension that was the one boarding on Bergy. League did squat for the rest. Loui's this year was late and he hadn't touched the puck. Orpik refused to answer for it so Thornton made him answer for it. Woulda preferred a good ole' fashion whoopin' but meh I'll take the K'O. Orpik may think twice now.
I agree Charas hit was legal but horrific.
youtube has a montage of similar hits from Coaches Corner and as grapes put it all legal and no suspensions or criminal charges.
